Seems abk told ms “pay us what Sony is paying us or all you getting is the xbone version for SX and SS”.
Basically all they would get is the backwards compatibility version for their next gen console.
Goes to show how powerful acti/cod is and why ms owning them would be anticompetitive.
Also seems the ftc had a good day, not perfect but not the blow out beating people said they would get.
Might not be enough to get the PI, but i feel like the judge will tell ms to wait for the ftc court to decide, and wash her hands.

I think ultimately it was a bluff from acti, their shareholders wont walk away from a potential 10-15 million sx and ss users by the time cod mw2 remake launched.
But with Sony marketshare ms buckled and paid up, they got the capital why take the risk?
Also, i dont even know why it was brought up if they paid up, it would have looked better for them in court if they never paid and acti did in fact not gave them a next gen version of cod. That would have more teeth in this case. But now to the judge it looks like nothing because they paid up and you got what you paid for, no issues here.

Just the Jim Ryan email where Jim said that sie would be fine and that sie have some great things cooking and that be believes sie will continue to see cod on PS for years. But not sure if Jims email was before ms offered Sony 3 year or after (likely before), cause i remember Jim losing his mind when 3 years was offered, thats the point Sony went public and against the deal and began to scream at the top of their lungs.

And, yeah, weaponizing their fans is disgusting but it’s what has kept them relevant.
