I rather if Sony didn't become MS or start following their lead, they should only acquire publisher and studios that have the right fit

I'd prefer they buy studios that interest me too.... From, Capcom and my other top picks but unfortunately this has turned into a play for power and influence in the industry and in that case (and considering EA wont sell and are aligned with Xbox mostly) TakeTwo seems to be the obvious choice.

I would say that they should wait to see if R* can still deliver without their key people though.....

If they can't, then they need another plan.

EA will absolutely go to Sony if Xbox managess to get Activision. Sony would be dumb to not be throwing money at EA for the next Battlefield, it's gonna be huge.

I still think Capcom is who they need to go after. Everyone is focused on Square but Capcom is the one and then Square.

If open to changing the name "Gaming Era" sounds like it covers everything fairly, unlike reset/Xbox era, or GAF being too pro Sony. Though I eventually found out what Icon Era meant, as a name it's a little stranded?

Yep. Regularly felt like couldnt properly discuss Sony misteps there, or ate several temporary bans.

I think it's because the people here are legitimately discussing the missteps because they want better from Sony, as opposed to just using it as trollbait to needle "the other side". At the end of the day gamers have an interest in playing good games...at the bigger sites they're more interested in the forum banter and getting one up on the regulars than actually anything gaming related. Even in the game-focused OTs there's constantly people trying to troll.
