Agreed. I believe that within the next decade, only Nintendo will be the true old school company. I look at Sony's PC releases that started in 2020 and I believe that by next generation, all of their first party games will be PC day one and after that, other platforms because there's simply too much money to be made and console growth has stagnated. None of them are growing. They either decrease or simply maintain what they had. People like to use Switch as an example of growth but they forget about the separate handhelds that Nintendo sold. If anything, they lost double/triple sales as a lot of Nintendo fans would double/triple dip by buying their console and their handheld.
With Microsoft, I would prefer them to just delay the games until they're ready to be everywhere day one because this way, it eliminates the debates and guesswork. If you're a PlayStation 5 only owner, you're not switching to Xbox. If you're someone like me who's subscription based, there's way more beneficial stuff to be had than just exclusivity which is great and all especially for bragging rights but if I had to choose between full/timed exclusivity and no Game Pass for example or no exclusivity at all but the games are day one on Game Pass, exclusivity can fuck off because it simply doesn't benefit me as a consumer/gamer.
