MGS series, FFXIII and OG God of War trilogy are the reason I keep my PS3. They release these in current gen and I sell the old machine.

FFXIII is a good reason to destroy your PS3.

What a shitburger.
I love XIII and it's way better than the trash that XV is.
They remaster the game, fix the battle system letting us change leaders on the fly and cutting the animation, you have an excellent game.

XV wasn’t great, but at least it wasn’t 20 hours of hallways, a totally useless progression system and the absolute worst cast in Final Fantasy history.

i've tried like 3 times to get through FF13 over the years and i stop around 20 hours every time. the game is just so boring.

it's crazy to see a lot of younger people whose first FF was FF13, they have absolutely no love for the series. That one entry has soured an entire generation of gamers off of FF. Meanwhile anyone who started before that has become a life-long FF fan, lol.

I think 16 will hopefully be better than 13 and 15. Both were pretty mid by FF standards. 15 atleast I was able to finish, the ending was great but the open-world/car sections are borderline awful. I imagine FF15 won't age well at all though.

FF13 and 15 are abominations.

7 Remake isn't that hot either tbh. It reminds me a lot of FF13. It has parts that just drag on and are boring as hell.

I like FF7 Crisis Core much, much more. But again, it's back from ~2005 when games were designed with gameplay in mind first.

I don’t like 7r at all. Played it alongside Tales of Arise and honestly … Arise blows it out the fucking water.

I have stupid high expectations for FF16. My time with 14 is the last time I enjoyed FF since FF9 because it started going downhill with X.

To be fair I haven’t played 12 yet…

Arise last dungeon is one of the worst dungeons ever in a JPRG. Full of bullet sponges enemies, terribly paced and drawn-out, it soured my whole opinion of the game.
7r is leaps and bounds better than Arise. It destroys it in every single angle. From graphics, to dub performance to battle system.

Idk about Castlevania, but damn you, you don't "test bed" with MGS, you commit to make a respetcful version out of every game in a way that embraces modern graphics and gameplay, better don't screw it up Konami...

They’ve made huge investments over the past year, it’s the main reason for their financials being way down.

COVID nearly killed them due to fitness clubs and pachinko parlours being shut down, so they are firing up the video game mines again.
Takuya Kozuki must have been sweating bullets when he realized his major fuck up of firing Kojima and basically abandoning the video game division in general when the pandemic happened. Paybacks a bitch isn't it?
