Nintendo Music, a new smart-device app exclusively for #NintendoSwitchOnline members

Alarmo gadget, Nintendo Music, NSO Playtest are all things they've announced in the last month aimed at subscribers.
Either to keep people subscribed with more value added or to convince more people to sign up.
Seems like a very concentrated effort on their part to increase revenue generation in that area.
