What they need the most is to inspire confidence in the product, the quality is there. If they are not moving enougth units they should offer support for PC.
The lack of HL Alyx was always a big indication that Sony migth just not get it. They port their exclusives to PC, put them on Steam and Valve doesn't release anything at all on PlayStation. Quite a one sided relationship.

The japanese have very effective marketing because it's so different than what western marketers do. They know how to catch your attention and keep an image stuck in your brain for years. Western marketers are failures with bachelors in communications.
