It's really difficult to get accurate information, no matter the topic, especially when emotions are involved! And from what I've experienced so far, videogames are very serious business!

Or we could all just focus on games and stop cheering a company based on how much money their parent company has.
There is value in having this information beyond console wars. A lot of people have personal financial investments in these companies, and every other market, whether its general tech, sports, auto, gas….they all have proper dedicated websites and people reporting on them.
Video game market is too tied to man children which is why you get such low effort reporting on it
Thanks sir.. still find it kind of funny you think I "lean Xbox" but I'll take it lol I legit haven't played a game on an Xbox since November 22nd 2013. That was it's launch day.. I hated the device and UI so much I legit never touched it again lol Playstation has been my only console I've used since.. and it's not like I didn't like Playstation before, I've owned every Playstation ever.
I just really hate cut scenes and unskippable lame walking and talking sections in games.. lol.. I think that's where people think I'm some "xbot" because I get frustrated with Sony's games sometimes.. but it's a legit frustration not some "Xbox fanboy making shit up." And the reason I get frustrated is because I actually like the games.. I'm just impatient to a fault.
I'd complain about unskippable cutscenes in Microsoft games... but....
Xbox has no games.
The last MS 1st party game I actually really enjoyed was Halo CE.. lol.
edit: actually my wife and I do use Xbox for trivial pursuit/jack box and doing karoke w/ Rockband.. so the above isn't entirely accurate, but my wife bought those games on Xbox because her friends have XBox's.
I will give you an example of why my thought process was so.
On gaf, there were two separate threads to do with Xbox and PlayStation.
I remember discussing something with you one day, you said you were straight down the middle etc in terms of liking both companies, something to do with you being a games journo or something of that nature, i can't remember exactly. Anyways, i remember going into the xbox thread to cause drama( As one does lol) and noticed you posted a lot in that thread, so i decided to check the sony thread and could see anything in there from you.
I found it strange that you were always posting stuff in that channel, always positive but nothing in the Sony channel.
At the time i put 2+2 together and that was my reasoning.
Seems like you got to work on that patience. Pacing is great for games, action all the time is boring, the slower moments add a lot to those games, what would make those games boring would be if they were all action all the time.
Since you mentioned it, that's exactly what makes the original Halo CE so boring, it has sections like that library level that is unbearable because it's just non-stop action over and over again.
Have you considered upgrading your wife to one that doesn't like Xbox? You start letting Xbox into your home and soon you'll find yourself counting the days until you can play Redfall or happy you don't have to pay for Peppa Pig games.

I honestly have no memory of ever posting in any "Xbox OT" or anything like that, I stay out of the communities section for the most part in general... and I definitely have posted in the Sony OT a few times.. I remember going to look for it after the big "next-gen hardware" thread got closed.
But I generally just don't spend much time in "community" threads. If I did post in the Xbox OT it certainly wasn't much.. but I honestly don't think I ever have.
