Because if that was true AMD Desktop market share should not be ~20%.

I can see some extreme cases with AMD having 50-60% of the DIY like Korea… but overall it should not be that high.

For example in Japan the DIY CPU market in 2022 was 74% Intel / 25% AMD.

It's certainly true, and like I said there's a lot of institutional inertia due to large scale contracts that are signed sometimes for years at a time. You only have to look back to 2018 when Intel had 99%+ of the market to realize that the tides are turning, and very quickly.

It doesn’t make any sense at with the data we have… you don’t show any source for that claim and says it is true.

I suspect some odd shit a la pentium 4 vs Athlon days. Can't believe AMD GPU share on steam is so low. They aren't bad GPUs at all if priced lower than Nvidia.

AMD has been ruling DIYs for years. Intel's marketshare has only been kept by all the inertia that exists in B2B deals.

I think this will only change drastically when some of the "nobody ever got fired for choosing IBM Intel" crowd get fired for choosing Intel. It will happen and probably already has in a place or two, but it takes time.

Most of the top intel cpu have double digit review counts and the amd cpus have 10 or 20x the reviews. The 7800x3d is by far the most popular cpu right now.

Like I said there is no way DIY CPU market is 80% to AMD... that doesn't make sense with the data we have.
With 80% DIY AMD should have a market share in Desktop way over 30%... perhaps even 50%.

7600X and 7900X have the same reviews too... mostly like AMD reviews are about product line and not specific product.
Plus the older the CPU more reviews to that product line.

Edit - I understood it... whatever you group processors they have the same reviews.... that is why the high number in AMD ones because they grouped with more than one CPU.

Intel has grouped CPUs too.

Intel probably has more reviews because it is a older product.
BTW reviews tells nothing... most buyers don't review products.

PS. Seems like the same product can be grouped or not... maybe it is due the supplier... but the biggest AMD reviews numbers are all grouped.
