After the release of Unknown 9, Reflector Entertainment is unfortunately laying off 18% of their workforce.

Reflector said the layoffs weren't driven by "commercial success or external pressures," but simply the fact that there's currently not enough work to support the studio at its current size.

Apparently, they do not have enough work to to justify the size of their current workforce. Furthermore, they say that this will not impact the development of any active projects.

Very unfortunate news for all those impacted, and hoping they find new work soon.

In a bombshell callout, a former employee of Reflector Entertainment has come forward to shed a cleansing light on all the chaos surrounding Unknown 9: Awakening and the toxic work environment fostered within the company. The whistleblower, who worked in cybersecurity, has provided some seriously shocking details about the mismanagement, unprofessional behavior, and lack of productivity that plagued the studio during his tenure.

Well, I suppose we'll learn more when journalists follow up on the story, as opposed to a Youtuber's take on a Google Translation of another Youtuber.

The productivity component is likely tied to what Reflector announced regarding the layoffs. As, if you don't have any work for your employees, it's not unreasonable to anticipate they'll fill their time with other activity.

Again though, I'll reserve any further opinions for a more credible report.

Who are those journalists you are talking about?
