King elf upgraded my ban to perm. Same behavior that ResetERA did when they banned me simply for posting on NeoGAF during the Cyberpunk fiasco. Those places are exactly the same, just different side of the spectrum.

I agree with this, I have started browsing ResetERA a lot more just for news and discussion, it’s actually much more gaming focused and balanced these days than NeoGAF which has devolved into toxic hate campaigns and culture wars.

Like at least I can browse a thread there and have reasonable discussion on the pros/cons without it turning into a trash mob of hot takes and animated gifs like the clown show that’s now NeoGAF

ResetERA still has the occasional extreme leftists agenda at times over hot topic games, but it seems a lot better than it used to be a few years ago

Did you message the mods, as some people are theorizing on the NeoGaf thread?

I definitely agree with some of the reaction posts to your permaban there. There doesn't seem to be a logical reason presented for the ban escalation to perma.

Obviously mods can ban folks for as long as they want for whatever reason they want, it just seems a bit unfair in this instance.

I did not message anything hateful to the mods. I simply stated that I felt my ban was unwarranted and that I’m not changing my behavior because I did nothing wrong to begin with, and that they can Perm me now and get it over with rather than dragging it out if they just want me gone.

This was weeks ago, however. I didn’t get permed until Adamsapple posted that screenshot of my reply here.

Hes an xbot scum and anoying deuchebag who likes to cry to moderator and push people into permaban isnt he

I always despise coward loser like this

Hope hes dissapear into obscurity when xbox brand gone along with him

Yeah it’s unfortunate. I was a member there for like 15 years and enjoy a lot of the posters there.

I don’t even mind those that give me a hard time that may nor share my preferences. That’s just the playful spirit of a forum. No hard feelings.

Unfortunately the mod’s insecurity ruins that place and you see the same bad habits that led to the whole ResetERA fiasco.

Certainly interesting how he never gets banned

Not that I think he should necessarily, but there’s a lot of weird double standards going on there

I guess his permanent Gold membership buys him immunity or something
