That's even sadder that you're a grown woman but have to act like a child 😛

And you know I can actually just put you ignore, and I won't have to hear from you ever again? I don't have to bet to achieve that 😄

Well get to ignoring me than, since you're too afraid to bet kiddo 😘

Nah dog. I have a new Banging PC, PS5, and a switch. And no one I know uses GAmepass on PC. And even with GAMEPASS being much better on Xbox consoles with that is offered, outside of a few titles like recently hearing Gungrave Gore, and Warhammer titles is really the only thing that I'm somewhat interested in thats coming this year.

I mean people get excited for halo, gears, forza, fable, avowed ect. Only super hardcore people actually specifically follow certain studios like Obsidian who look forward to pentiment, and shit like that.
Pentiment is a fan type of title, as in it has a lot of the cheeky stuff people have come to love from Obsidian me included. 2022 has been literally barren for anything big and exciting on gamepass.

There is no denying that. Now if you are into smaller titles, and like more AA style of games like Plagues tale, like Atomic hear, like scorn, then yea gamepass looks like theres some things to be excited for.
But the average person/family is not paying $300-500 to focus on playing those. They might try them which I think is what Microsoft wants out of how they are treating their curation.

They want people to get into other things besides big, expensive games because if they dont, then all people will do is what currently is happening to the subscriptions services for entertainment. They will sub for a couple months when they know when big content drops, then fall off once there's nothing there.
Thats what has been happening post Covid. People are getting more selective in what they are watching/sub to.

Thats going to be Microsfot's hardest thing to combat, and we are seeing it currently with how they need Activision/Blizzard to go through because they need big bombastic content on the regular in their service to keep people interested long term.

As it stand now, Gamepass in terms of the amount of games, and value is great. But in terms of getting people who enjoy big bombastic games it aint cutting the cheese.
Even then, there's no reason to buy into GP to play those since those games are cheap and most of them will end up on PS+, which is better value and offers better games.

I'm not trying to make this console wars. I'm purely talking about the average person who buys a console specifically Xbox. Those games at some point coming to PS+ is irrelevant to my point.

Yeah totally agree.
I just wouldn’t be surprised if They treat it like Starfield or Halo etc, day 1 gamepass.
I wouldnt even be surprised if after a couple of years they pull it from Playstation all together. MS logic doesn‘t always make sense and they have the deep pockets to support their mistakes lol

I think they are willing to lose alot more money then any of us think, all so they can claim the quote from the Highlander….. there can be only one!!!

Well with the way some of these laws surrounding acquisitions are in flux to being changed, if MS did pull something like that, they could screw over their acquisition at a later date if groups like the FTC have their way and certain legislature gets passed.

IMO tho at the end of the day, if it's still bringing in a lot of revenue via PlayStation, and the GamePass numbers still aren't looking right when it comes to the money being brought in, they won't pull the content. Their shareholders would crucify them for doing so.

Yeah, this a good point. IMO GamePass doesn't have a quality problem; even if many of the games there aren't to some people's tastes, going by aggregate average the service is very well curated. Majority of games are at least a 75 MC or higher, tho I'd say most are between 75 and 85 MC IIRC. That's still pretty good though actually, all things considered.

But as you bring up, very few of them are the BIG TICKET games that grab eyeballs and headlines, especially if we're talking Day 1 AAA releases. As good as the Forza games are, they simply are way less popular than Gran Turismo, I'd even argue Need for Speed is a more popular racing IP or at least it has been that way for a very long time. Halo's name brand power has severely diminished over the years, we can clearly see that with Halo Infinite and things like the garbage Paramount show aren't helping. Gears of War is in a similar position but somewhat better off and aside that, MS doesn't have any big-name IP to do the trick.

Which is exactly part of the big reason why they purchased Zenimax and are attempting to buy ABK. Elder Scrolls. DOOM. Quake. Fallout. COD. Diablo. Tony Hawk, etc. These are all IP on their own a lot more popular and well-known than anything Microsoft had prior to buying these publishers. These are the kind of IP with brand power that can draw big attention to something like GamePass, which is what Microsoft is counting on.

The only question is if they do it the right way or screw these IP up like they have others like Halo, Perfect Dark, Fable and so forth. Because they could easily squander this opportunity by having too much on their plate, heck I already think Halo's been written off in favor of iD's games and COD once that's under MS's control because at that point, Halo is just a redundancy.
