That is just PR spin.Just to highlight but they did launch a midgen refresh its just they are so incompetent that it completely misses the mark, first they already launch their midgen start of the gen, then the refresh brooklin is the Xbox Series X tb2 version for 600 dollars.

The Series S machine was a late decision that not even key developers know it existed.
Their main console was always Series X.
Their failure with Series X is what hold them back to release a mid-gen console against PS5 Pro.
Ohhhh and Xbox One X didn’t do well too… so they know it was not a good option.
