Did they actually say that? Its such a shit year for games any one of the GotY nominees from last year (except Alan Wake 2) would win this year in a walk.
I'm sorry to hear fewer games spoke to you this year than last. I hope you'll find more to enjoy from next year's releases.

If you ever need help finding some games to play, gaming communities like this and others are happy to try to provide some recommendations to suit your tastes.

STFU Astro Bot would win last year and the year before and the year before that, even if it was just Astro's weenie dangling around saving his comrades' weenies from the evil octopus alien's weenie.

You actually have to be a exceptionally good game to be snubbed........

Is this some parody account?

Hahahaha. What can I say? 75 hours+ and im loving the game. Others liking/disliking it (or any game for that matter) is of no concern to me. :)

@peter42O enjoying shit videogames.

Hahaha. I am someone that rarely plays 90+ rated games via OC/MC. I'll use just 2024 as an example, via Open Critic -

Astro Bot - 95 (excellent game, rated it a 9.0/10, wouldn't rank or rate it higher than Stellar Blade or Rebirth)
Elden Ring: SOTE - 94 (base game is 97, don't care about souls games and outside of 10 hours in Bloodborne, will never play another From Software game again, in general I wish the souls genre would die more than you guys want Xbox to die)
Final Fantasy VII Rebirth - 93 (excellent game, rated it a 9.0/10, second best game of 2024 for me as of now)
Metaphor - 93 (no interest in Persona or Metaphor)
Vampire Survivors DLC - 92 (no interest)
Balatro - 91 (no interest)
Destiny 2: The Final Shape - 91 (no interest)
Tekken 8 - 90 (no interest)
Like a Dragon: Infinite Wealth - 90 (no interest)

Out of those 9 games/dlc, only 2 of them were for me. No interest in the rest and I don't care what their rating is.

I prefer games in the 70's and 80's over the games that are in the 90's. Perfect example is Mad Max. It's a 70 or some shit. For me, an easy 9.0/10 but excellent Arkham style melee combat but more brutal and the best car combat since Twisted Metal 2. Is it a Ubisoft open world game? Yep. But those games are for me. lol

To each their own though. :)
