Engineers at Sony are now actively working on the problems affecting the company's PS Stars reward program, with the service now having been offline for around about two weeks. Reports of user issues began appearing from 5th June, and the PS Stars icon was removed from the PlayStation mobile app shortly afterwards.

The button has now returned, but pressing it returns a simple maintenance page reading: "PlayStation Stars is currently experiencing issues. Our engineers are aware of the issue and are working on a solution."

Why has Sony not fixed this already or even publicly addressed the issue?

Why is Sony so against communicating with the fans?

One might be able to use their PS Stars - Level/Tier 4 - Priority Customer Support to ask about this issue.

They didn't want people racking up points during the sale 😂 especially those renewing PS+ on discount. It will be magically fixed once the summer sale is over, and they'll completely ignore any requests regarding retroactive points.

I'm glad I don't buy digital games outside of VR titles.

Someone contacted support and they confirmed points are still being recorded.

Hopefully it's not a support person talking out their ass.
Even if it was users have their transaction details that can be used to confirm what they've purchased since downtime to get those points.

Id like to hope so as i have bought game and payed for a year of PS+ while it has been down and they have a record of it as both was through PSN Store
Even if it was users have their transaction details that can be used to confirm what they've purchased since downtime to get those points.
Yeah we get emails confirming everything you do on PSN so we have them but id like to think they would have a record and we wont have to show proof

This all being said only time will tell

I've registered at PS Stars, but i won't buy any game digitally because reward points you are getting for each purchase. So, buying a game, maybe it won't be registered. Hope they will sort out this soon.
