MAAG from Crossfire, XNC podcast who leaked news of XBox titles coming to rival platforms before news outlets in 2023 is Now breaking that all big AAA titles coming to PS5/PS5PRO.

This would add credence to rumors of multiple studios within Xbox Games Studios who have PS5PRO Dev kits.

According to MAGG not confirmed PS5/PRO version for Gears:E-DAY being made alongside Xbox. Meaning possible day in date release.\

Also MAGG specifically talks halo but not remake? Either new entry or Certain Affinity's Halo Project that still is in some capacity in development.

Update: Leaker eXtas1s backs up that all these titles were currently in development but something recently has made them pause because of back lash from indiana Jones announcement.

I can only say that I miss it... a lot.My latest information on Xbox to Playstation ports is that it is "paused" or "slowed down" (NOT CANCELLED).The reason? The reception to the news of Indiana Jones was not good. Now, in my opinion I think that as soon as they see that things calm down a bit they will continue to move forward with releasing SOME games. Halo and Gears are still RED LINES to this day.

Honestly I think development continues after Black ops 6 sales numbers come in. I disagree with Gears, halo. I think they are rebooting franchises to get more people. Gears on Playstation would do big numbers.

Avowed delay was %100 suspicious given that the game was largely complete. This puts it into a new perspective.

Anyone have the time stamp? I'm not listening to this entire podcast.
Here's the clip

I believe MAGG also came out earlier in the year that he was informed that Jedi Survivor was able to run at 120fps and 4K wo a patch on the Pro. Which a certain person from DF clowned on.

Does he specify which halo? I’d take any thing but infinite
The next mainline one in the series.

Thanks. Didn't want to go through the last segment just to find it.

No surprise. I said this back in February. Once they started it, that's it. As long as stay day one on Game Pass, Sony can get every Microsoft published title day one for all I care.

Side note - MAGG also mentioned the Switch 2 stuff somewhere. Any chance you have a link for that as well? Thanks.

The console war may be over, but there's a bigger element at play that hasn't been widely discussed yet.

Microsoft will not only support PlayStation, thus boosting the console's relevance, but currently with abk and now other games a significant portion of their gaming revenue will come from PlayStation. This gives them a strong incentive to support the platform. This is why the "PlayStation is doomed" narrative is so hilarious. Microsoft has strategically incorporating the PlayStation platform into their ecosystem and financial kpi's.

That leaves PlayStation with a dominance in the high-end console market, and with both Microsoft and PlayStation heavily invested in that space.

The PC market alone is for those type of games not enough, because of size of their budgets. Xbox has tried to expand with day-and-date PC releases, but if this strategy was truly viable, then this move to playstation wouldn't be necessary.

So for the foreseeable future, PlayStation console position will strengthened by Microsoft and that relationship will grow as revenue on playstation increases.

Prediction time.

This gen will go even longer than PS360 and in latter half of it (which is starting like now) will be with Microsoft fully supporting PS5 as a third party due to gamepass’ and Xbox hardware’s continued failure.

Xbot fan copium will continue to be laughable but the industry and the devs will be better served since they won’t be working for the peanuts and kneecapped potential from gamepass handouts.

It’s so over. Crazy I got to see the rise and fall of Xbox. I still remember when they unveiled the concept X design console. Shame really … that OG console was a trailblazer.

And to think their next idea is a steam machine… I get it but who gives a shit. Third party cheapo part clusterfuck of an optimization nightmare waiting to happen. Like they didn’t learn nothing from the series S(hit) debacle.

I think the issue with them going handheld or non uniform console is it sounds like a license nightmare. If the rumors are true that they have not decided yet on specs for new hardware, then they are kind of fucked.

If they do get it green lit then they will be late, or it will be similar to xbox series, where it was rushed and tools were not ready. I forsee a scenario where similar reports were saying they have a reference design by Surface hardware team, and license it out to Asus/Alienware, Acer, Lenovo with their own Big picture mode/console like OS/OVERLAY. It will still be windows but with some kind of overlay kernal similar to Steam big picture.

Example I can think of is Asus overlay for Rog Ally it has all your games in one launcher either they be steam/epic ect. I can forsee that, but intigration and licensing if they want that overlay to connect to stores is going to be a nightmare.

Honestly the sales of Black ops 6, Indiana Jones, AVowed and GTA 6(if it makes 2025) on PS5 will in my eyes determine the direction they go. It adds weight to Jason Schrier saying they are a mess and in disarray. You have one part of the enterprise company looking at the books and telling XBox division(phil, sarah, booty) what has to happen. And Phil is pushing back a bit because internally managers that work under him are pushing back on this.

Honestly the next 6-8 months to me will be defining factor in what direction xbox chooses to go in.

Just gimma Halo collection and Flight simulator. The rest I dont really care about but its good to see the end of the console war as we know it.

Next will be MS and Steam doing these hybrid handhelds and hybrid console/pc that play each others stores and made by 3rd party too
