Hello everyone,
as you may have noticed we have been part of the talk for quite some time: you are a wonderful community that has its obvious moments of (sometimes heated) exchanges that have enriched everyone. As you have noticed this forum, born from the wish for a place where opinions are challenged and respected, is leaving its mark. It may be the "notable expert" (I am still chuckling about it myself) or the more recent XBox afficionados' Discord server, but we are part of the discussion. You are part of the discussion.
There still is some misunderstanding that we may be a news outlet. We are not. We are a forum of people that find publicly available information and discuss about it. Yes, we do have the occasional rumour here and there, and we all love rumours, but we are not a news outlet. Being an agora we value freedom of speech and we strive to provide a safe environment. Some may call us a "phony site". That's ok, they are entitled to their misguided viewpoint.
As you know someone has been running a poll proposing some Twitter handles as who's behind IconEra. I had great fun reading the tweet and the comments, and I hope you had fun as well. Please understand that Gaz is Brit, and British humour is a bit more of the togue-in-cheek kind. He may not like Sony, but we strongly believe that people like him are part of the reason why we have built IconEra: in order to have a discussion, you need something to discuss about.
