Do you mean a PS5 patch? Makes sense... a new port for PC and/or PS5 not imo.
PS5 doesn't need a remastered Bloodborne... it is too early.
Hard disagree, a remastered Bloodborne would be welcome and easily sell over 2 million. Demon Souls sold 1 and a half million in 2021 so idk the numbers now but it was more than the original.

A remaster is not a remake. A PS5 remaster would be what I want, higher resolution, higher frame rate, reduced loadings, haptic feedback/adaptive triggers, etc.

Demon's Souls was a remake not a remaster. I think a remake of Demon's Souls is unnecessary while a remaster is extremely necessary.

If you can't figure out the difference just look at TLoU it has a remaster for PS4 and a remake for PS5.

It just makes so much sense, it's extremely out of touch to just let Bloodborne there stuck at 30fps forever when we have much better hardware available.
Maybe they want to do it, but had everyone busy with other more prioritary stuff: FromSoft with Elden Ring and Armored Core, Bluepoint with Demon's Souls and God of War Ragnarok, Nixxes with the ports of the Spider-Man games to PC, etc.

Maybe when someone gets free they may work on it.

I have to search his exact quote, but I think Jaffe says something like "I don't know if it's coming to PC or PS5 but Sony is definetively doing something with Bloodborne". As I understood, he know that they are doing something but doesn't know if it's a PC port, a PS5 or even a movie/tv show.

Nixxes would be the one to handle something like this (if not FromSoftware themselves). The required chances for a remaster wouldn't be that for off from what it takes to make a patch that many studios do for free.

Well, this one is a PS5 game, not a PS4 game. Even if it's a launch window game so pretty likely it's basically almost a PS4 game.

Meaning that it would require way higher PC specs to run it and specially to run it properly than a PS4 game. Most PC players wouldn't buy it because it wouldn't run properly on their PC or would complain about performance.

It makes more sense to release first the PS4 games they have because will be easier to scale them to run them in less powerful pcs. And on top of that, the older the games are their ports the better, to keep as much as recent games console exclusive.
The PS5 games are having more trouble on PC than PS4 games due to shader compiling and asset streaming etc.

EG TLOU P1, Jedi Survivor and Hogwarts.

The fromsoftware engine is total shit. No matter what Sony does, the games just cannot do proper 60fps. A remake to Demon's Souls was a most. It's a timeless clasdic that needed to be well preserved

Of course they can, all other Souls game that use the same engine already run at 60fps on the PS5 retro and on PC.

Demon's Souls was a PS3 game from 2009, Bloodborne is a PS4 game from 2015. The resources required to remake it at the same level as Demon's Souls could be much better used on something else.

It's like asking Nintendo to remake their WiiU games instead of just porting them to the Switch like they did. It makes no sense. TLoU Part I was already pushing it but at least it was a PS3 game.

I hope this is Bluepoint, if it's day 1 on PC I'll double dip to cancel out @nongkris
The biggest reason right now not to release games day one on PC is to avoid all the headaches from porting it (and all the bad press that could come from a bad port). Even third-party devs should consider doing that at this point.

Playstation Studios have already had successful PC ports. Even Last of Us is coming around quickly. PC is where every single developer learns their craft. PS5 is 95% PC architecture inside because PS4 had huge success going the same route. It is free money and access to a huge audience at low cost for Playstation to release their games on Steam. This is not at the expense of PS5, which 100M people will buy because its the easiest and best way to game.

If Sony is dumb enough to make a highly anticipated game like a Bloodborne remake and put it on PC day 1 I would sell my PS5 and pirate the shit out of it. Horrible business move.
It actually doesn't make sense that this game will come to PC knowing that Demon's Souls remake hasn't been ported yet.
They are diluting Playstation's for no real benefit.

Doubt.

This smells like fake hype to build up expectations, only for them to be dashed when it's revealed that this rumour is bullshit. Why would the media do this? Because it would make Sony look worse when compared to the Xbox event.

Sony is not releasing first party single player games day and date on PC, people, don't worry.
They have significant data proving that this is bad decision making.

Successful ports were PS4 games. ND fucked it up with TLOU port. Other 3rd party games that are only current gen have many problems on PC. It seems PCs are giving developers hard time mainly due to being limited to slow storage and DX12.
