if returnal couldn't manage 6k copies for a new ps5 game, how awful would an 8-year old PS4 port like bloodborne do?

They had 6K concurrent players dude... The game has sold between 50-100K copies at least.
And LOL, Souls games sell BEST on PC.

They'll release it when it suits them. I mean dude, you're in a thread claiming they made the PC version... just that the team who ported it sucks, and instead of releasing a shitty version, they shelved it until their teams got situated in PC development.
Both games will come, and both will be best on PC
Or they could put effort into remaking and remastering games which fans are asking? Legend of Dragoon, Jak and Dexter, Resistance, Killzone, Infamous etc..
Who is going to do all that work? Creative people generally don’t want to spend their time doing that. They want to make new things, and have their own ideas.
Preserve the past, don’t constantly rebuild it.

But someone have to put a lot of work to do BC, so in my book, better they spend time to remastering or remaking games. 90% maybe more of bc games people won't even play it anyways, so better get better versions of those games. At least for me.
It's not the same thing at all though. Sony would be responsible for enabling BC in their systems. Studios do not work on BC. You're talking about a small group doing the kind of work that would benefit hundreds, or thousands, of games. Whereas a remake or a remaster means an entire studio is focused on a single game or product, which is a wildly inefficient way of keeping a game alive.
You should be able to play games like Vagrant Story, Suikoden 1 and 2, Castlevania SotN, FFX, Silent Hill 2, etc etc. natively on your PS5 right now. Instead, we have remakes and remasters happening, or in most cases, just can't play the games at all on your PS5. PS3 games rely on streaming via PS+. If you bought these games you should be able to stick them into your current PS and play them. I think that's true of all the platforms personally.
And again, that onus falls on the platform holder, not the talent making the games. It's a really key and important difference.

I hope this isn't true, because Bloodborne could use a remaster and ports.
The article mentions that Virtuos Games bungled the PC port of Horizon. They also made Return to Arkham, which was a mediocre port with textures smoothed out, wonky-looking assets, and a Batman with giant lips in Asylum.
I hope they don't mess up the Metal Gear Solid 3 remake.

The PS4 version runs and looks wonderfully on the PS5, and the game has literally been free for PS5 owners multiple times now.
We don't need remakes and remasters of PS4 games, we just don't.
It hasn't happened because it's only PC beggars who want it, and the reality is they're a very niche market and not worth anyone's time to cater to.
