In the Pokemon direct this morning the latest DLC for Pokemon Scarlet and Pokemon Violet was revealed. Someone pointed out that everything revealed in the DLC sounds like a leak from a few days ago and you can see by checking the link above, they were pretty spot on... a mysterious Pokemon with a green mask, clothes as a purchase bonus, large blue turtle, etc. Even the title "Hidden Treasure of Area Zero" was spot on.

Now what does this have to do with the Nintendo Switch? It says: We are working on a graphics enhancement patch for the new Nintendo Switch models that will be released alongside DLC2.

Now if this is true, part 2 of the DLC is slated to release Winter 2023.

As a side disclaimer, DLC2 might not actually be referring to "Hidden Treasure of Area Zero Part 2" but rather an additional set of DLC referred to as "Hexagon" (unless they got confused since the third legendary has a lot of Hexagons) in 2024.

Oh finally, I was really considering getting the OLED.... but I need confirmation of this new model from Nintendo. I think I am too late for the OLED now, it would feel a bit redundant....

If it comes this year, that would be awesome. I'll get on that rpe-order list.

Call it Switch Pro or Switch 2 and watch it fail like the Wii U.

Most of Nintendo’s customers are casual who probably won’t see the difference.

Lol, literal bullshit. Expect a full new gen console next year, ergo not enough time to bother with something like that this year.

Hoping for a minimum 4TF's,DLSS,A good CPU and HDR....

I’d be surprised if it is more powerful than a Steamdeck.

2TF is pushing it.

This is Nintendo we are talking about. Under powered consoles has been the norm for almost 2 decades.

Where it’s at.

Hope in one hand, shit in the other, and the handful of shit will have closer specs to a Nintendo system than the handful of hope!

You’d have a more realistic statement if you stopped after “I’m hoping for a minimum”

Its going to be a base PS4 if you are lucky and thats all it needs to be, portability+battery life being the big hold-backs but important enough that they design the whole console around it.

We will see.
My hopes shouldn't be to hard for Nintendo in 2023/4.

They won't be running current gen games with 2TF's in docked mode.
Steamdeck is over priced and under-powered plus a different audience.

Of course not. They'll be running downports, just like Switch did with PS4 games. Also, the dock adds a fan, takes away a screen and does nothing else to Switch, its not going to have a major performance bonus on anything. They will probably keep that system for Switch 2.
