Why would Wukong be nominated in the first place, there are many other better games that came out this year with much higher review scores.

Well, interesting to see how many people are only wising up now to corporate controlled western media awards. And by corporate, I mean certain US corporations.
It got nominated for best visual design. What areas was it locked out of?
Wukong has great visuals and good combat but the story is one of the best in the games released this year, Sadly not having straight forward cut scenes like Cuckmann's games results in people not getting the finer nuances of the story. Wukong should at least have been nominated for narrative and sound design. Stellar Blade got robbed of the soundtrack too.

Game is one of the best and biggest gaming spotlight this year
Should be getting at least 4-5 nominations and should be included in goty nominee
There are better games out there, maybe if any games didn't come out after wukong this year it would get nominated.
We even have unexpected hits like silent hill 2 and who knows what else could surprise.

It sold huge numbers and people championed it because the developers asked not to mention feminist propaganda. That created a huge buzz for them.
From what Ive been told, outside the spectacle set piece and graphics, it doesnt do anything else amazingly. Most people Ive spoke to said Stellar Blade had better combat, more moves etc
And I doubt it touches Stellar Blade in music lol

Wukong has many problems but what it does well it does absolutely spectacularly well. In my opinion the invisible walls itself should disqualify it from the GOTY conversation.
What it should be considered for is - sound design, narrative, visuals. Even in narrative Silent Hill will win if remakes are included
Rebirth is overall a better package and deserves the win and the pro patch release will bring it back into the limelight just in time for the dorito pope's awards

Pity that I won't have an opinion on Rebirth since I decided to wait to play it on the Pro...
I only played an hour or two but it was excellent to that point.
I have put my platinum run on hold for the Pro on the first chapter, but the hard mode is aces for rebirth. They really did well to balance it where you need to use all the tools available to get through the fights.
I am a FF fanboy so take my opinions with a grain of salt but Rebirth for me has been the best game this gen
