Another partnership that will lead to strong divorce lol
Until I see exclusives or Sony owning some of the IP this means nothing in the long run

Good to see Sony improving their relationship with BNEI... I hope this means Sony acquiring them in the future! (y)

Nintendo has more influence than Sony over Bandai, for sure.
None of them have any influence.

Nintendo decided to hire them to do exclusive stuff for them, and Sony decided to hire them to do multiplatform stuf for them. Other than this, in the past Sony decided to pay them for some 3rd party exclusives, and now pays 3rd party exclusives to other people instead. That's all.

Since when did it become mainstream that all Sony games have to sell 10+ million or else they are at the edge of going multiplatform at any moment?

Nintendo has certain smaller exclusives that don't sell millions either, yet you would never see people online making excuses for them to port these "failed" games to PC, let alone Nintendo themselves would never want to go multiplatform. What becomes a Nintendo exclusive stays exclusive forever, even if an exclusive only sells 100 copies.

Sony truly opened a can of snakes with their embracing of arrogant PC players, and although the entire mission of giving up the PS identity only brings them less than 3% in profits, Sony is just not anymore invested into their console and exclusivity. Since then, PC players already expect every game to be served for them on a silver platter by Sony, when in reality, Sony should give them nothing, not even "failed" games.

So far in japan Sony has strengthened ties with fromsoft, koie tecmo, palword devs, and Bandai namco through deals or investments but has neglected to do so with arguably their two most important Allie’s, SE and capcom. Baffling to say the least imo.

Not even that because all those investments are a bunch of nothingburgers that will add nothing of value to the PlayStation ecosystem
