Sony is quickly becoming one of the more pre-eminent PC publishers. In the United States they have 4 games ranked in the top 10 and 4 in the top 15 globally.

They have 4 of the top 10 current best sellers.

• Helldivers 2 (1st/1st)
• Destiny 2 (5th/9th)
• Ghost of Tsushima Directors Cut (pre-order) (7th/11th)
• Helldivers 2 - Super Citizen Edition (8th/15th)

Quite a good performance considering the narrative from many that they should give up PC support or that there isn't
demand for their games on PC.

This looks good until you realize that the AAA market on PC is a joke. HZD was a top seller as well and only sold 500k on PC its first year. Starfield was one of the best selling games on Steam last year and it was a huge flop. Steam Deck is constantly a top 3 seller on Steam and it hasn't even sold 3 mill units in totality in over 2 years.

Great for the transparency and optics. What's underneath really does count not just "oh this game is number 1 or 2" and you have a point although we know Helldivers on PC is going to sell millions and obliterate that argument if not on its own. Just saying.

No, helldivers is $40 and it's sold on key sites for $30....It's also an always online game. So no idea how that is "obliterating any argument"? Yep, and Helldivers 2 still at top 1 since before release.

Last fiscal year Sony was top 20 publisher in Steam, I assume this current one they'll have climbed considerably there.

And next fiscal year, having Helldivers 2 and Concord will go even higher.

Sony is killing it on PC, they are quickly becoming one of the top performing publishers there. Soon will be earning there over a billion per year there instead of hundreds of millions.

So it's now performing great, as a normal very successful game. Not as a huge top tier Steam historical hit as were in its first week.

I'm going to echo the sentiment that this doesn't mean much, unfortunately, because it's clear the PC market is so small. We got detailed stats from the UK and PC can barely muster a 1/10th share of major multiplatform releases. There are a few genres that work but it's not an ecosystem where everything thrives like consoles.
