Sony has definitely been killing it this year. In a normal year we’d get 2 AAA major exclusives from them. This year we’ve already gotten GT7 and HFW with GOWR and TLOUR on the way. It’s a very strong year for them.

If Sony gets Capcom then it would be ok if MS gets MK and also make KI for them.
I'm ok if all MK are removed from PlayStation. They should've stopped making these silly and tasteless games 20 years ago. Couldn't care less about KI, good luck to them.

taking a fighting game off playstation at this point is a death sentence.
I wont say killing it. Sony had much much much better output in other years. But, when your direct competitor is a "dead man", every year you are killing it 
I still remember the insistence everyone had that Shu wanting to work with Indies was a cover and he'd actually been demoted for (insert silly reason here), and yet look at the results. The man clearly has a passion for these games and developers.
Well, to me it still looks like he was demoted/stepped down but it seems to have been for the best. The pressure of being the Head of PlayStation Studios must be crazy.
He did "step down" in that he left his position, but he left it for one he preferred, especially as retirement nears. Much less stressful, and more of a passion project.
Besides, there's nothing to have "demoted" him for in the first place.

Don't forget to add in the PC ports.I don’t mean to make another sony cheerleading thread (i do) but i cannot believe how active sony has been this year.
And we still have 5 months left and most likely a major showcase
- Two major acquisitions, Bungie & Haven
- Shipped multiple AAA first party games, Uncharted Legacy of Theives, Returnal Acension expansion, Horizon Forbidden West, Gran Turismo 7, MLB The Show 22, The Last of Us Part I, God of War Ragnarok, etc.
- Multiple 3rd part exclusives, Sifu, Ghostwire Tokyo, Stray, Valkyrie Elysium, etc.
- Multiple major Firmware upgrades, including VRR and ALLM
- The revealing of PSVR2 hardware and the first couple of exclusive games
- All new revamped ps plus service, Extra and Premium tiers which expand to classic games and demo’s
- Major Share Factory update
- Multiple State of Plays
I will add those in the spirit of celebrating some top-tier studio management. Their output this year is very impressive.Don't forget to add in the PC ports.
You mean since 2009?
Only down year I can think of in this period was 2014 (along with the entire industry) and even then, their 2014 output is much better than the average MS year, not to mention 2022.
edit: Looking at their games released in 2007 and 2008 those were good as well. Seems they are on a roll since pretty much 2007 then.
edit2: Xbox had multiple years that are absolute garbage like 2022, the only consistency you get from them is a Forza game almost every year, what sets 2022 apart is that it didn't have a Forza game. Xbox fans like to say that MS had a better 2013, that notion is completely absurd and just shows their lack of knowledge, MS got completely stomped that year and it was all downhill from their for them.

They could be alot better and are pretty frustrating with future games And not that many true PS5 1st party titles and AAA 3rd party titles compared to previous gen. Its still only been a year and a half, there next showcase better be good

What other game publisher is doing better then them? Everyone could be doing better but Sony has at least being doing a lot better than everyone.
