Yeah, but i mean at this point 1.5 years into the next gen Playstation is sitll the only place where you can play actual next gen titles
Im just comparing it to themselves. They have released more/better than anyone else but heres some things I want improving.
I’d like for them to keep more of their 3rd party exclusives. Yakuza, Persona, Nioh teams next ip.
Some more 1st party PS5 exclusives ( we had more last year than this year )
More news on 1st party games. We only know about Factions 2. Spiderman 2 and Wolverine at this point.
Start buying more IP’s and publishers before everyone else does.
More 3rd party AAA exclusives. ( FF16 is great but I hope we get Persona 6, their new ip and more

They probably never paid much (if anything) for those Japanese 3rd party exclusive games like Persona and Yakuza, they were PlayStation games by default.
They are also not going to buy IPs, they never did it before and it goes against everything they've done so far as far as acquisitions. MS is the one that buys IPs.
Sony doesn't have to answer MS, MS is still far behind, Sony needs to keep doing what has worked for them so far. If you want to cheer publisher acquisitions get an Xbox, no lack of future promises there.
Hey now, lets not lump MK in with KI like "that". MK games carried PS2 era when even Street Fighter gave up for a while there.

They should still try and keep some of these games Exclusive. It was the reason so some fans who bought a Playstation during PS3/PS4 Era.
Times have changed. They normally wouldn’t buy a studio like Bungie but here we are... or Haven. They would normally build an exclusive relationship with a studio for a few games before purchasing them like with Naughty Dog, HouseM, Bluepoint, Insomniac etc.
They bought Ip’s along time ago like Wipeout and Lemmings.
But now I think its time to do it before companies like MS, Google, Apple, Amazon buy many Ip’s that were associated with Playstation before. Like how Crash and Spyro are now with MS. Imagine Yakuza and Persona being Xbox or Nintendo’s when they started and always use to be on Playstation.
I mean why not buy Square or someone else before they get bought out. Sony has plenty of money

I want Sony to buy a publisher because it will improve their staying power. And Id rather not see games like Resident Evil, Street Fighter, DMC, Yakuza, Tekken, Final Fantasy, Persona, Mortal Kombat exlusive to Google, MS, or any other big company.
Because that is what is happening and will carry on happening.
Ive been a gamer for decades, why would I want some of my favourite games to be exclusive to other companies that don’t deserve it.
Either Sony buys or they let other companies strengthen themselves forever. Simple as.
While we’re talking about MS, MS have strenghthened their staying power with purchases like Minecraft, Elder Scrolls, Fallout, Call of Duty, Diablo etc.
They can’t create new ip well, but these games will keep them in the games industry for a long time with these older IP.
Just like Playstation’s best selling game is God of War/Spiderman, or Nintendo’s best selling games are older IP.
You need a good mix of new and old ip.
I was a fan of Sony’s old way of making studios, I hate the idea of big companies buying publishers and IP’s like MS is doing, but in this day and age, its happeing so Id rather Sony have some of my favourite IP’s under them, instead of MS/Google/Amazon buying them.
Not every franchise needs to go on forever. MK had it's place in the 90s but it should've stayed there. It's way too tasteless now that graphics have evolved.
MK has great lore for a fighting game series. In fact, MK defined the modern fighting game story mode template.

I don’t get the logic in saying Mortal Kombat needs to die when it’s as relevant as it ever was. They do the biggest numbers in the genre ( I do not factor Smash Bros. here at all whatsoever and never will).
I don’t even care for it. I’ve been playing street fighter since ‘92 so my allegiance and fandom is there… but … mortal Kombat is strong
