Edit - Just to put context... Sony said that the 15% drop in gameplay time was higher than the 10% they predicted post-COVIC and that they will take actions to generate more engagement in the next six month with first-party releases, increase in hardware supply, PS++/PS+++, etc.

You can correlate them to revenue quite easily in a world where DLC/MTX are the majority of revenue being driven by software.

It's still connected, probably gonna play GoW 2018 a few weeks before Ragnarok's release date so I'm caught up.
But nah almost primarily transitioned to SX for now. Maybe a PS5 in late 2023 around FFVII Pt 2, but that's too far off to know for sure.

It really shows how important it'll be for Sony, Microsoft & Nintendo to set up assembly factories outside of just China, else when the one place has issues, the whole chain is screwed. Sony have an autonomous factory in Japan, that's a start I guess.
I mention PIM (Processing-In-Memory) designs and chiplets a lot but both of those would have a really big benefit for consoles in terms of easing up on certain supply requirements. They wouldn't need to rely so much on smaller nodes for performance gains and energy savings, meaning they could go with bigger nodes for certain specific logic while still getting big performance increases.
There are proposed chiplet designs like UCIe that would help with that, and such a design shift could also allow them to rethink how they handle CPU logic in terms of data locality. Maybe instead of a few big, strong cores they can cut down on the number of such cores and go with a lot of smaller, simpler CPU cores either as close to data as possible or even "in" the data (i.e in the memory, hence PIM).
They also need to seriously address the scalper problem for good. Scalpers really ruined early availability and who knows how many PS5s and Series Xs are just stockpiled at scalper hideouts waiting to be sold as hilarious prices to desperate people. They're in a big race now because supply may finally be improving, but console manufacturers can't let them pull that off again with future console releases. It could be extremely bad if it were to keep happening.

That's Azure; it's Xbox's numbers they don't share outside of very basic stuff. No specifics on hardware sales sold in or sold through except at really odd milestone intervals, no software sales numbers for specific games or just 1P games altogether, no GamePass numbers except once a year and not even at the end of a FY or fiscal quarter, no GamePass revenue numbers, etc.
Azure's a beast but it's its own thing completely separate from Xbox and GamePass, for the most part.
