PlayStation is doing great compared to the others.

I do have this feeling that Spain has such a big country that gaming could be doing a lot better... Despite their great weather.

Wow! I really didn't expect to see Legacy of Rain in the charts, 3 months before is actually out for sale ! Quite promising, I must say.

PS5 vs Xbox Series almost had a 18:1 difference, not bad.

Seems that at least in Spain PlayStation is doomed as some said.

Price cut boosted it though.

Outside of price cuts it's not doing so hot in Spain.

It really needs a permanent discount.

The population of Spain is 47 million people. 20 percent of which is above the age of 65.

The PS4 sold over 3.5 million units in Spain.

The ceiling is pretty low on their gaming population and the economy isn't great, so selling to 10% of the population is pretty good.

Well, depending on the year Spain traditionally has been a top 4/5 country, and worldwide around top 10/11 country. But normally only represented around 2% or even less of the game revenue and game sales.

Gaming has a huge percentage of its game revenue/sales coming from the top countries like UK, Germany, France, Japan or specially USA and (not in case of consoles) China.

Under them there are more countries like Spain or Italy, close in the ranking but far in terms of revenue/game sales.

On top of that, the economy/inflation/employment rate here is in very bad shape. And well, a lot of people has enough mostly with their FIFA, GTA or Fortnite, and I assume in many cases on their PS4.

I think PS5 sales in Spain will experience a noticiable imrpovement as FIFA, GTA, Fortnite or AC stop getting suported in PS4.

Yep, compared to the countries above Spain (with the exception of Italy, who in recent times is a bit above) in terms of game sales or revenue, Spain has a pretty small population, with a huge percentage of unemployment and old people.

So considering everything I think the gaming market (and PS in particular, specially now that is super expensive with the huge inflation) performs pretty well in Spain.

Price cut boosted it though.

It also gets discounts in the other countries, and they (outside Japan/Asia, which may be crazy too) don't have anything close to a 18:1 difference there.
