Fabricated hate because of exclusivity. Same as every single PS exclusive.
Extremely fun and the DLC was good too. But Square undermined that game with their shit marketing too.
I think FF7 Remake will make it's way soon on Xbox. It is not only Jim Ryans mistake, it is the mistake of the Sony HQ Board members.

Eh maybe? I think Sony’s deals carry some weight. FF7 still not ported. MGS4 still lost forever. FF16 may stay on PS5 for awhile too.
I’d really love to see some details. Out of all the exclusive deals you see most of Sony’s have stayed exclusive. Unlike RE4 on GameCube etc…
I think all games are on the table tho… I imagine it’s gamepass centric deals. So Microsoft will pay specifically and directly to sponsor particular software.

I can’t put it into words yet. I might but I don’t feel like doing the research at the moment. But the survival of much if the industry is on the table. Microsoft is a threat to killing revenues and putting devs out on the streets in huge numbers. The fuck do they care?
There’s also huge opportunity. I’m actually very very optimistic about the future of the industry. Because you better believe that devs want to work for anyone else.
Gaming is an industry of ideas not IPs. There is no limit. I’m sorry… I still have faith in people continuing to make amazing things for you to enjoy and they deserve your money to make more. IPs mean nothing — see Star Wars and Halo. They can all be replaced by something new.
Mark my words. Jim Ryan and the PS5 will be unstoppable. Key point… their business model actually works for both Sony and third parties. Gamespass does not.

What does Square Enix say to Sony who paid for those contracts? What happens to their business relationship afterwards?

Did FF14 bypass paywall before f2p? I kinda think it did. The reason was the monthly sub.

All I know is MS needed to change something about their online policy in order for FF14 to be on Xbox. But that could of just been a rumor.
I think it was the paywall being bypassed to not require ps plus. Seemed like a specific deal for that game at the time and the reason was that the had its own monthly sub. I remember that rumor too so I don’t doubt it having relevance at one point. But now? With all the f2p games that get a free pass? About time
does feel like we're at a turning point. All the old franchises under MS's control will die, giving birth to new franchises that will take their place. Xbox will never be accepted, not worried about that.
It's already started in japan. Abysmal numbers for Final Fantasy, Resident Evil, etc. While a new market emerges in mobile and Nintendo Switch.
Most of the most popular games in Japan are big titty anime phone games you've never heard of, the rest are Nintendo games.

Boycott all MS products, including the office suite.

It also causes headaches for Switch owners. Look at Soul hackers 2 and P3 Reload. Pretty sure Switch was skipped because MS came in with marketing dollars and demanded a version for themselves that took precedence.

MGSIV - never had a deal with Playstation. The game simply would need to be on like 7 Discs to ship on Xbox and Konami didn't think it was worth it. They had a build running perfectly fine for the 360.
Sony and Capcom had a falling out and that's how RE4 ended up going to Nintendo. Eventually relationships were repaired and it came over.

Sony is asleep at the wheel in my opinion, and if they lose square then it’s 100 percent on them and none of us should feel bad or sorry for them.
