In an interview with VGC following the game’s big reveal at Monday’s Ubisoft Forward showcase, Gerighty discussed how long the game will take to complete, as well as the decision to cut a significant feature from Massive’s original vision for the title.

“Very, very early on, we decided this is going to be a 25, 30 hours golden path adventure, 50 hours, 60 hours for completionists, and that is, for a guy with a family and a job, it’s still a fair amount of time.

30 hours plus more from side content is more than okay. Thats GTA level for a main plot. Though I get the sinking feeling that this game ends up a lot less open world than envisioned if true.

Kay got them big Anya Taylor-Joy eyes. Aside from that, those extended gameplay videos is getting me more hype for this.

So, instead of 10 of the same fetch quests, they narrowed it down to 3? Or is the game more on rails vs open world - which would be the opposite of what you would want for a game based on creating a rogue persona in a immersive star wars universe.

30 hours to complete is what, a third of how much time they demanded on Valhalla?

That's certainly a step in the right direction.

Time to complete means nothing. If it's a fun and engaging story like Mass Effect then 30 hours is great.
If it's 5 hours to complete The Order 1886 then that's great.
If it's 100 hours to complete kingdoms of alamur, I'm sorry but that's too long, shit gets stale.
