Yep. No way around this. That show for me was a D. I don't have PSVR2 yet, though that will change later on. Capcom stuff was great as well. Don't care for Suicide Squad and the indies I just didn't care for. Sony you are holding back because of the ABK and I am tired of it. I want this deal to be over with so we can get back to the good stuff.
The folks in charge during the PS4 era did a much better job at building hype. PS still has bangers on the way, but they are doing an awful job at promoting them.Same... I did like RE4, SF6, Baldurs Gate 3 and Destiny Lightfall..... they all looked great. The PSPlus lineup is very decent too.
But most of those things were brief and they spent a lot of time on stuff that killed the pace and that wasn't really relevant to an audience that watches this type of show.
I think they really need to reflect on who they are marketing to in these SOP's and what is going to kill hype and slow things down and just cut all of that out and put it in a PSBlog post.

I wonder who is actually in charge of promoting and organizing these streams. They either need to be replaced or have a lot to learn from the showrunners of last gen.Exactly, PS4 era was a hype machine. Every E3 up until 2017 was incredible and 2015 and 2016 were just other-worldly.
2016 being my all time favorite.
I don't particularly like these SOP's, they seem really impersonal and the games and pace just never suit the audience. I mean.... a handful are always great but they have so much filler and irrelevant stuff around them, that it hurts the great games being shown.
Much like with the PC port initiative.... they thought that was an audience for PS games.... now the sales are low on every release. It really seems to me that PS / Sony have a problem identifying who really are their audience, connecting with them and understanding them.... especially with all the noise on social media...people pretending to be PS fans pushing them to do things that actually hurt the brand.
It's kinda frustrating to see as a fan and customer.
Just the VR games which looked awful. And humanity, which also looked meh.Is the first show we walk away from without even one new announcement worth a shit?
I can't remember the name of a single new game shown.
it was a colossal waste of time.
F-, 0/10.

I haven't watched many Nintendo Directs. Do their streams have this problem?
Nintendo fans are hardly the most discriminating gamers.I haven't watched a Nintendo direct in a long time, last time I meant to watch but it was at an odd time...
So honestly I have no idea of the quality bar but from the talk surrounding them the last one or two seemed to go down well with their fans.

The last direct was nothing but rehashed IPs, and Nintenyearolds were acting like it was Sony’s E32016
And at premium prices, no less! There's definitely some truth to that, they went wild for Funky Kong and putting Metroid Prime back on the store and they buy these low grade remakes without question.
And at premium prices, no less!
There’s a very good reason why the only game I’ve paid full pop for on Switch is RingFit Adventure. That's what makes me question whether I was unfair on PlayStation with my criticism of their increase in pricing....
But my criticism was coming from a good place, I wanted more people to get in on day 1.
But in terms of inflation, cost, quality etc.... I absolutely understand where they are coming from.
Nintendo have no excuse for charging those type of prices though.
That insult has existed for literal decades at this point.I'm using this.
Genuinely never heard it before. i use Noncetendo because the platform is for pedophiles. That insult has existed for literal decades at this point.
