Gaiden is action game, but Yakuza 8 is turn based.

I've heard good things about the tales series but I never really know which one is the last.
Dunno how you feel about gacha but I would highly recommend Honkai Star Rail. Been playing since release and the game is chock full of content right now and we’re on the cusp of one of the coolest characters coming out too, how can you say no to a mech + waifu??
Unicorn Overlord is awesome! I played for over 75 hours of that game and I don't like SRPGs that much. Vanillaware are on their own lane 
I forgot SMT came out on Friday. The multiplat strategy from Atlus is not looking too good. Less than 20k playing on Steam

Principles won't allow me to play gacha.Dunno how you feel about gacha but I would highly recommend Honkai Star Rail. The art, music are great and the strategy is cool evolution of Advanced Wars with unit building.
Also reqruiting and "saving" people is somehow dependant on your actions.
But at some point you find out the board wiping moves and how to cheese them
and the game becomes easy.

Deep gameplay but not overwhelming, great cast and story. Beautiful, huge world to explore, nice artstyle and animations during battles.
The game was on sale for cheap a month after release. Wait for the next sale if you to try

No, not into crafting, cooking etc
and not thick enough thighs.
You'll enjoy it. The characters are balanced and unique, the power levelling scales perfectly and the plot twists are fun.
The last one got me right in the feels, something a game hasn't done since the commander Shepherd smile.
