Also, the rules to even be considered in the shortlist were wokified years ago, things like the "diversity" in the staff that make the games, "diversity" of the characters represented and the main character's diverse background are all taken into account.

If it's too white, especially male + straight it will not even be considered, same if you just show resistance to anything woke (like J.K. Rowling / Harry Potter).

If they think you voted for Trump or suspect that you may have a couple of Trump voters in your creative team they're the kind of people who will refuse to even consider you for any awards... basically they're a holes.
