They can't acquire Sony. Sony is a government protected company. Nobody can buy them.
Apple are a scumbag company with cult-like consoooomers as customers, something Jobs aimed for.
Their products are overpriced slop, often not even the best tech on the market, but watch the normiecattle Apple fans come at you viscously for daring to suggest that £200 ear phones with a £1500 smartphone are a rip off.

Well, the alternative isn't that great. I'm with my Sony phones since 2005 and currently with the Xperia 1v and can't be happier and they never let me down, but might go for a Mac Studio (when it gets the M4 Max/Ultra) for the first time since 1996 due to size and video editing performance.
You know that trillion dollar is total bullshit, right? It's over-evaluation. Also US companies are available for hostile buyouts, Japanese major companies like Sony only partially available in the stock market so don't get fooled with its market cap. Sony isn't too far from MS in terms of cash in hand/debt.

I never had a Sony phone.The only smartphone I have had besides iPhone was a Samsung Galaxy, twice.

I don't visit the forums to hear about anyone's personal ideology..... I just love games and discussing them with those who have mutual feelings. Both side of the culture war extremes are quite cringe, and I don't there is a way to filter them. I appreciate this forum for at least letting us challenge those take when push comes to shove.
I do wish we could focus more on the games, but I think both sides have been so radicalized that there's no going back as far discussion goes. Someone from both ends will always have something (annoying) to say.

Sammy's a live service multiplayer groupy he loves games like Fortnite lol
I've got no hat in the ring but the first two years of PS5 under Ryan had games, a cracking headset and sold so many units they couldn't keep up.
Then hulst came along, cancelled every live service and GaaS game, even factions, because he said they wouldn't sell, while championing concord.
More games have gone day one pc under hulst and Sony are giving their franchise's to switch.
I'm not saying Ryan was House, Yoshia or Katoragi, but Hulst is Sony Phil Spencer; incompetent and full of lies.
Killzone is a better franchise than Horizon.
Ryan made PlayStation massive in Europe which is still their most dominant region. PlayStation Japan alive or not wasn't going to do anything anymore simply because that region isn't focused on consoles and PlayStation has declined in Japan with every generation. Trying to win/dominate in Japan unless you're Nintendo is a fools errand.
