I've seen plenty of women in their 40s that look even older than that, especially in countries where sun exposure is higher.
Most women don't look like the one you posted into their 40s, and that one was full of make up btw. People with poorer diets and higher stress levels with naturally look older.

there are many attractive celebrities in their 40s, but if I posted them you are going to say omg did you expect to look like that in a post apocalypse world, because yeah being in a post apocalypse world, is suddenly going to change your features, right!! Tess is not average she is an attractive lady in her late 30s-early 40s, those girls you linekd will not look as good as Tess even if they were 20.
the current Tess looks too fucking old to be a badass smuggler who can take down enemies and get into gun fights with them. It feels like she is about to break any second.

Stress, poor nutrition, exposure to sunlight and the elements...
That pretty much shows in how old people that worked on farms all day long over the sun here in Brasil have the skin and body more damaged than people that lives in cities with different habits.
Plus the modern woman uses several type of cosmetics that will help with the non aging of the skin... something I doubt Tess had after the apocalipse.
Not having any gameplay updates is gonna be a reality check for sony i think with this pricing. Even big fans of the series aren’t gonna rebuy it if its just graphical changes.
People let it slide for Demon’s Souls and SoTC before though so they probably thought whatever. This underperforming def means they dont make a bloodborne remake/remaster either cause theres no extra money on it for them
