You must be to young to remember the 360 vs PS3 days.
Trust me Xbox can take over if Jim Ryan don't get his shit together.

The days where PlayStation gave Xbox every possible advantage but still came out on top? All while improved their internal studios and hardware team so that when the nextgen came up they completely destroyed Xbox?

They should they are a far distance 2nd there now looking up at Nintendo wile Xbox is catching up.

Not anymore and they were even public about that. Games take too long to make now and they seem to want shorter marketing cycles while saving announcements to when they need them. Right now they don't need it because the competition doesn't have anything and blew their load as far as announcements.

Like I said, I just wanna know more exclusive games coming in 2023 and 2024. I get the reasons why they dont but it would be good to see more 1st and 3rd party exclusives

Sony so far has had at least one big event per year this gen, there is a good chance they'll have something in a few months, so you'll likely get some future game announcements there.

People don’t realise Xbox had all the advantages back in the 360 era.

-Released a year before PS3
-Cheaper than PS3 ( This is still the case with Series S )
-Better online infrastructure and gaming
-Took a bunch of Playstation centric titles for the first time ( Tekken, DMC, Resident Evil, FF13 etc )
-Red Ring of Death probably upped 360 console sales more
-Easier for 3rd party studios to develope for 360 most the time.
-Alot of hate for PS3 from the media

Yet PS3 still outsold 360. Xbox won’t ever have these advantages again and probably won’t ever get close to 70-80million consoles sold again.

I was old enough to remember PS3 outselling 360 despite the 360 being cheaper and selling a year before lol. Doubt Xbox will ever sell close to 70 million consoles again.

I think even if Playstation has a PS3 style generation, they will probably still sell 90+ million units and Xbox won’t get past 70.

Thats the best and worst case scenario for both. Phil has had years and billions. The only other title they have that will bring in many fans is Elder Scrolls and thats not coming this gen probably.

So many details also blew in Sony's face, even stuff that were actually pretty interesting like having hardware backwards compatibility with every previous gen, OtherOS, very premium hardware with tons of features, etc.

You just seem ignorant about Sony and the Japanese market, every PS since PS2 has sold less than the one before, the entire home console market there has been shrinking for decades. Regardless if the games are not your cup of tea, like Forza isn't mine. The games they make sell, review well and move consoles. Which is what any Platform holder wants. In Microsofts case they want you to play their games but they want you to do it via gamepass.

Because of the benefits to the other parts of the company.

Even with Microsoft this year not having anything first party they did not bust out their wallets like they did with last year for third party on gamepass. And that shows a disconnect in how both Companies approach Fiscal YEAR Curation.

Sony always had more quality, more quantity and more variety than Xbox. That's pretty easy given that Xbox output of games has pretty much always been terrible.
