Like Microsoft's drop, Sony's was also expected. Especially in software revenue because after February, all you really had was Wonderlands and the Lego Star Wars game. There's literally nothing else. Last year had Returnal, Ratchet, FF7R and at least RE 8 so it all makes sense. Benji-Sales summed it up nicely. The opening quarter was great and packed, last quarter starting in October will be packed but the middle six months have been completely dead.
Since Wonderlands, im still waiting for a new release game that I actually want to play. Will finally have one next week in Sword and Fairy!! Beginning and end of 2022 will be better than 2021 barring any Fall games getting delayed but the middle six months in 2022 has been worse than 2021 in my opinion.
Well, that beats Phil Spencer's CV. You might not qualify to run PlayStation but you definitely have what it take to ruin Xbox.

Xbox people think Phil Spencer can literally do no wrong even though Xbox always falls in last place and they haven't released something really good to play in nearly a decade now.

At the end of the day, I will take Ryan any day over the king of cringe over at Xbox. Ryan has overseen the development and delivery of a plethora of AAA games on the platform. He hasnt had to resort to buying other publishers because of his own inadequacies and shortcomings.
And Nintendo puts out shitty hardware at inflated prices, and cheaply-produced software that don't interest me, and aren't of AAA production values most of the time.
I get that a lot of people are pissed off about the live service strategy, but Sony have a glut of single-player first and second-party games coming, and if the past few years are anything to by, they'll be industry leading too.

Playstation has only improved for me personally over the years.
Their hardware has been on point and them getting into open world games has been what brought me in. Infamous, Days Gone, Spiderman, Horizon.. up my ally.
The PS5 is just such a beast with those near zero load times.. it makes this impatient gamer sometimes want to buy a console version of a game over my usual favorite (PC.)
