You like the cheaper gaming option just say that 😄
I wonder if Crackdown 3 was his game of the year the year it released to worldwide acclaim 🤔. I remember the green team on gaf lying through their teeth saying thy weren't let down when it released. Game was a ghost town a month later lol.

There are several Series S deals last weeks here in Brasil from 20% off or more.
Like that one on Mercado Livre:

D_NQ_822357-MLA51147186239_082022-OO.webp

But R$2089 seems expensive to what happened today at PontoFrio.com/CasaBahia.com with FastShop.

R$1588,83... 37% off.

SeriesS.webp

And you see people saying they are waiting to Series S hit R$1200 (> 50% off).

All that... and Xbox consoles are flopping...
It Is What It Is Dont Care GIF by AwesomenessTV

The amount of justification you have to make for the xbox to look appealing is shameful.
Embarrassed Shame GIF

Us, PS gamers, just need to say one thing: "PS has good games".
It's crazy how many paragraphs they have to write to convince themselves Xbox is better and it's never about the games. VRR, Cloud saves (lol), BC (to play WHAT?), best value and other marketing terms.

PS+ is getting full-priced AAAs + indies and somehow the same indies you can find in bundles for $10 are better value?? No mention of the Dual Sense, PS5 exclusives like Kena, Stray, Sifu or Rollerdrome, etc.

No one is buying a next-gen console to play slideshows and pixels indies by the truckload. That's why they are always careful not to name any games and they list random features or hide behind Bethesda/Acti instead.

VRR is huge especially for games that launched with the console. Valhalla for example had screen tearing but with VRR, I had zero issues. It's a feature that simply makes the gaming experience better. Cloud Saves for free has saved my ass a few times this generation. Gears Tactics, Immortals Fenyx Rising, Halo Infinite (campaign) and most recently, The Ascent since I had to re-download it for the Cyberheist expansion tomorrow. Don't understand why people downplay these features especially when all they do is make your gaming experience better.

I'm not a retro 8/16/32 bit Indie guy and games that do not look up to date just aren't for me as they usually consist of souls type game or roguelikes. I would like to know what full priced AAA titles PS+ has gotten day one because that would be of interest to me.

I know people rave about the Dual Sense but I easily and by far prefer the Xbox One controller which is easily the best controller that I have ever used. Dual Sense is well built and solid but im not into the gimmicks of the controller. No interest in vibration/haptics and haven't cared about this shit going back to the Nintendo 64 rumble pak. Adaptive triggers is a feature that I don't know how anyone would want to play with. Playing a shooter and the triggers giving resistance? No thanks. Thankfully, I turned off all this gimmicky garbage at the console system level so none of it ever affects me. Most of all, I hated the touch pad on PS4 and still hate it now. It's nothing more than an oversized world map button. And these gimmicks were already done last generation with the Xbox One generation so they're not new or innovative or revolutionary. If anything, they're just over hyped.

All I want is a normal basic standard controller that works. If I wanted gimmicks, I would play Nintendo.

As for the exclusives you mentioned, no thanks to Rollerdrome or Stray as neither are for me. Sifu is a great game but im not into roguelikes at all. Kena on the other hand is a great game, my 4th best game of 2021 and im hoping Sony acquires Ember Lab.

I have owned Series X since January 4th, 2021. I have played and completed Gears Tactics, Immortals Fenyx Rising, AC Valhalla, WD Legion, Outriders, RE 8, Lost Judgment, The Ascent, Far Cry 6, Guardians of the Galaxy, Dying Light 2 and Tiny Tina's Wonderlands. Still have Cyberpunk 2077 to play. And I have Steel Rising, A Plague Tale Requiem, Gotham Knights, Evil West and The Callisto Protocol for the rest of 2022 and I won't speak for anyone else but I can guarantee that im not playing pixeled indies.

If you're just talking exclusives, in all honesty, we all know Microsoft has NOTHING this year. I don't think anyone would argue against this but we all know this already. Bashing it or an Xbox fan like me bitching about it isn't going to change it and all of sudden, make an AAA exclusive pop out of thin air to play. It sucks and it's disappointing but it is what it is.

Sony has had an excellent 2022. I have said it for months. 2020 launch belonged to Sony and PlayStation 5. 2021 belonged to Microsoft and Xbox Series. 2022 belongs to Sony and PlayStation 5. And I will be even more honest. Sony's 2020 and 2022 were blowouts, no question. Microsoft's 2021 was better but it was at least competitive. I would like to believe that any fair and intelligent gamer can see this regardless of which "side" they're on.

So while many on both sides will still be bitching about the same fucking shit every day, I will be playing the Cyberheist expansion on my Series X tomorrow night followed by Steel Rising and other multi-platform games in the months to come and yes, your favorite part, God of War Ragnarok (a blockbuster exclusive) on my PlayStation 5 in November. 😂

I wonder how much of that supply chain, brings out chips that can't hit certain frequencies? Wonder if that's why their supply is still so low compared to Xbox, or is it just a larger grip on that market?

Supply chain seems to be Sony's biggest concern, you are spot on.

The PS5 comes in a huge box and I think you can fit at least 3-4 Switch boxes in the same space.... probably 3 Series S and 2 Series X for 1 PS5.

So I think they need a slim revision pretty soon and more compact boxes, even if they have to use environmentally negative foam or some alternative.

I'd love to see a ps2 slim, modernized ps5 console, with nice, sleek curves. Would be sexy as fuck in black, with the colors of the ps2 logo LED's. Would be so iconic and nostalgic.

I wasn't talking about you Peter, sorry. You don't sound like a shill with fake grievances, even if I don't agree with all your points ❤

VRR is on PS5 now but another user was saying the implementation is not as good as Xbox without naming any real-world example they had to deal with.

Most of the games you mention were not on GP and I was comparing with people saying PS+ is bad value. I know all the releases on GP and no way they are being honest when they shit on PS+.

Free cloud saves is whatever. I can't think of a scenario where it would be enough for me to dump a platform because of that. Just get PS+ if it's that important to you. So exaggerated.

2021 didn't belong to the Series console. There was only Forza, Halo and a port of Flight Sim but nobody plays that shit on console. The rest was PC and Psychonauts was multiplatforms. Don't fall for the Metacritic POTY.

Anyway, everything is always awful, complicated and a bad experience on PS5 for these people. We all know it's FUD.

That would be perfect, my dream is that they take some design cues from PS2, PS4 slim and Apple quality.

It could still be 500 but just with a smaller footprint and a nicer finish.

Shake this 'plastic box' insult from consoles....

I actually knew that but does it matter if there is no game worth replaying? You said it yourself that you don't play these old games. I would just get the digital version instead of messing with my old discs.
Glad you said that because it shows you really don't know what you are talking about. No game worth replaying? Xbox tends to provide higher resolutions and framerates over the original titles and does it without charging customers a fee. Prey is a perfect example of a game made better through Xbox BC.
Of course you don't want to list any. I'm fully aware of the "brand new releases on GP". They are PS4 ports and cheap indies you would never buy or play. I have tons of them already. PS+ also have good ones like Bloodstained, Dead Cells, Children of Morta, Hollow Knight etc.

I don't want to list any titles because it is a waste of my time. You didn't even know that Xbox improved the performance of its BC titles in ways PlayStation does not. If you think the titles you listed are an example of NEW games available on Game pass it again shows you don't know what you are talking about. Do some research first. I did. I went out and bought a PS5 before judging it.
Any examples? The only one I can think of is GT7 but you already had a PS5 so I'm not sure why you would get the PS4 version. You're also not talking about exclusives so it must be some 3rd-party 🤔
Sure any cross generational title on PS5 has a $10 fee for the privilege of playing that version. Horizon twisted Sony into knots before they finally give their loyal fans a break and when they did you still had to jump through hoops to get the discount.
If it's on Game Pass then you also don't own it and that's why you would have to pay for it on PS5? Not sure why you blame Sony for that.
I don't care about owning every game. Game pass allows me to try titles to see if I'd want to buy them in the first place. When/ if I do I can get it for a discount. That's why I'm only buying the rare exclusive on PS5 because if I don't like it I KNOW Sony isn't giving me a refund.
You're all about getting a deal but you don't subscribe to PS+? It's weird to always bring up paid cloud saves or monopolistic prices (it's for retailers really). All your complaints are stuff that doesn't matter that's why it always feels fake.
I have PS+ I don't think it is better than Game pass because again I want to play NEW games on a subscription not old games with no real updates. I'm bring up issues that affect me as a customer. Maybe Sony gives YOU free cloud saves but I have to pay. I also to settle for whatever price Sony wants to charge for their digital games. Why would you as a customer defend that?

You like the cheaper gaming option just say that 😄
I like to save money yes. You prefer to throw your money away?
You don't sound like a shill with fake grievances
I just have to say it's pretty lame to accuse anyone who dares not choose the PlayStation as their favorite console a shill. It's pretty weak stuff. It's totally possible that a person weighed the pros and cons of a platform and determined the PlayStation wasn't the best option for them. That's what I did and it really allows me to be objective. I'd hate to make gaming choices based on my emotions.

Apologies. I know you didn't reply to me but I wanted to reply to your post so I did. I'm not a shill for any company but if I was, it would be Ubisoft since they're my favorite publisher and developer but they do so much stupid shit, I can't shill for them even if I wanted to. lol. Not everyone is going to agree and that's what makes the conversations and debates better. :)

I can't say how VRR is on PS5 since it's my exclusives only console but in general, it should make the experience better when playing games so regardless of if it's good or not on PS5, any PS5 user should want it to be good because it will benefit you as a PS5 gamer.

I see PS+ and Game Pass as the same. Both are great value. More so if you're a new PS5 owner who didn't own a PS4 as there's a lot of Sony's first party exclusives on the service. Same for if you're a new Xbox Series owner who didn't own an Xbox One as im pretty sure that all of Microsoft's first party exclusives on the service. I'm not an Indie guy at all but Midnight Fight Express on Game Pass day one is very enticing as it looks great. Stray was a great day one game for PS+. Both do have some great games on the service that were released months/years ago. I give the edge to Game Pass because of all the day one games they get including their own where as until I see Sony put more emphasis on PS+ in this regard, their service comes up short when compared to Game Pass, at least for me. All previously released games which is great for those who haven't played them but for someone like me who plays 90% of games day one, not so much.

Free cloud saves isn't something that would make anyone jump to Xbox. It's just an extra bonus for those who play on Xbox.

For 2021, Sony had Returnal, Ratchet & Clank: Rift Apart and MLB The Show 21. Microsoft had Flight Simulator which granted is PC oriented but barely anyone played Returnal and Ratchet sold maybe 2m copies if that. It doesn't matter if they sell great, bomb or if you or me are interested in them. They still released for their respective consoles. Microsoft also had Psychonauts 2 which while multi-platform, so was MLB The Show 21 so that evens out even though Psychonauts 2 is the more critically acclaimed game. Forza Horizon 5 is in my opinion the best racing game, arcade or simulation. It looks and plays better than the rest and does it in a massive open world. And of course, Halo Infinite while most here didn't like it or whatever, the campaign was excellent. Multi-player at launch was good but in 2022, not so much.

I just don't see how anyone could put Returnal, Ratchet and MLB as the better year over Flight Sim, Psychonauts 2, Forza Horizon 5 and Halo Infinite. And this doesn't include the content released throughout the year for Grounded and more importantly Sea of Thieves. Microsoft and Xbox simply had the better year in 2021. For a game like Flight Sim regardless of who plays it or not on console still rated higher than Returnal, Ratchet and MLB which is pretty damn impressive since it's following is mostly on PC.

Again, I can't speak for others in regards to their experience on PS5. Excluding the technical issues I had in HFW, I haven't had a single issue with my PS5 but at the same time, I only play exclusives on it so it doesn't get the play time that my primary console Series X does. You can say that people are displaying FUD but at the same time, when I see you or others truly say that PS5 had the better 2021 over Series X, then I see that as displaying FUD.

Perhaps, YOU obviously preferred and enjoyed the 2021 PS5 lineup more than Series X/S and that's fine. If Returnal was a straight forward game, I would have preferred PS5 over Series too but objectively, Microsoft had a great 2021 and overall, were just better than Sony and I say this because I can see it. And I also say this as someone who has zero interest in Forza Horizon 5, Flight Simulator and Psychonauts 2 but I KNOW the quality for all three games is high and were simply far more popular and talked about combined and overall when compared to Returnal and Ratchet in which both games were basically forgotten pretty quickly.

Why can’t you talk about the games? The exclusives actually, because everything else is on ps5 with a superior controller. Ffs. Stop making excuses for that console.
I did talk about the games, a lot of games actually And I talked about the exclusives right above in my response to G&M. Multi-platform games are still important, vital and are played way more than exclusives on any console simply because there's way more of them.

We know there's no AAA exclusives for Xbox this year. We know this already. Sony is having an amazing 2022. Not making excuses for Microsoft. They made the decision to delay Starfield and Redfall. I can't do anything about that. It is what it is. I have plenty of other games to play so them being delayed doesn't matter to me especially if the delays make them better and if anything, helps me for 2022 because having 5 games in a 7 week span between October 18th and December 2nd is more than enough. Starfield and Redfall being delayed actually helps and makes it better for me. As for the controller, im simply not a fan of the Dual Sense. I see it as a gimmick and when I see gimmick, I think Nintendo and im not a Nintendo guy. If I could use my Xbox One controller on my PS5, I would easily.

Don't waste your time replying to a one not troll like swifty. You will only get a disingenuous reply in kind.

Yeah, im seeing that with a few people. If I can admit that Microsoft has no AAA exclusives for 2022 and that they screwed up by putting all of their eggs in one basket, you would think that PS5 fans would at least be able to admit that not everything is perfect or better on PS5 but for some people, I guess they don't want to lose face or go against their brand or whatever.

It's funny though. I'm a Ubisoft guy but even then, I go against them like half the time because they tend to do stupid shit. lmao
