I hope this doesn't end as "Famous last words" but i have to say Ubisoft has been on a roll this month, one great new after another.

Why? More competitive launchers on PC would push Valve to actually make Steam even better.

In theory I support that, but Steam is just really good: great deals/sales, awesome refund policies, users can write review to warn buyers of scummy practices or bugs, etc.

No other pc lunchers are like that nor have the intention, they are just there for companies to avoid paying Valve a cut of their profits.

At the moment when i'm thinking of next-gen i'm thinking of Ubisoft.

Might turn out to be fake as fuck in the end but at least they look like they're trying to push the boundaries

They are doing a few cool things, I definitely support xDefiant as an alternative to COD.

They went back to the OG Assassins Creed gameplay, which also suits me.... and they havea Star Wars game and Avatar on the way.

Their backs are to the wall, so they kinda have to deliver.
