Yeah no, random guy on the internet, and I'm not about to let you change the subject. You came flying in here like a jackhole trying to correct me about the Nvidia and ARM acquisition when in fact I was correct the entire time.

So yeah, you didn't do your job and now you're trying to change subject.
How did you decide you were correct? The other guy shared a Reuters article. What did you present?

Yeah, "several more years" is just MS being scummy. I hope Sony throws that agreement in their face and regulators really twist their arms.
I really think sony should just make a public statement and just quote the UK CMA verbatim. Heck get apple, amazon, nintendo or whoever to sign on. Call MS out on lying and using their monopoly of windows to smother competition.

Pretty much sure if this deal should fall,
(but I don’t believe it will), then Microsoft goes all in buying EA.

How can you take away that which was never announced for another platform?

So allegedly Microsoft actually sent over a signed agreement to Sony about COD:

I still find it... a bit.. ODD.. MS doesn't just say "Will continue to release future COD games on Playstation"...

Because.. like those words aren't hard to type or say, yet they keep not saying that lol
I wouldn’t accept that if I were Sony. It’s shady and Microsoft is a known liar. One shouldn’t trust Microsoft.

Sony just need to reply to sign an actual contract.

Letter of intent means nothing at all.

FYI, CMA can prevent mergers / acquisitions from companies not based in the UK.

Giphy is still under appeal, btw.

Why? CoD will continue to be released on PS as they always have been and as MS and Activision said that will continue. Sony has nothing to announce.

MS should just say CoD2k23 will release on PS5 as soon as Series X|S gets God of War 😆
MS already said future CoD will continue releasing on PS day one with all the content and that will continue doing it beyond the games that they already have signed with Sony. If fact they said that plan even to start releasing them on Switch.

And did use Minecraft as example, whose all their post acquisition console games and dlcs got released day one on rival consoles.

You missed out on the January agreement thing?

Apparently, they sent an agreement to Sony in January 2022, mentioning that they will release COD on PS for "several years beyond the existing agreement" implying one day they can make it exclusive.

Xbox is a known liar company. The contracts end in 2025 (I think). They can decide in 2027 to make COD exclusive and say, "okay, that's it. We published COD on PS for 2 "several" years and have fulfilled our commitment."

All this time they have been publicly implying something else. I hope Sony and Regulators use this information to corner MS.

They have enough studios, the right response is to release some great games and create trust and attract users.

Not take games away from competitors... that is negative for the industry as I said.

They could add to the industry but they choose to be a negative.
I can’t believe more people don’t clearly see this is what’s happening. Or maybe they just choose not to see it.

No different than what numerous other publishers are doing, including Sony.

And MS has pledged to keep games like CoD on PlayStation. And they wouldn’t bother to remove the games from mobile or PC.

Again, big bag of nothing.

edit, on the front page of this forum right below this thread there is a thread where you are wanting Sony to buy FromSoftware, who made basically the only great game of 2022 thus far and have consistently provided amazing multi platform games. Unlike Microsoft, if Sony were to buy FS, it actually would remove games from the competition because they sure as hell wouldn’t make the games on Xbox and even PC would be delayed. So I guess it isn’t a negative if Sony does it 😆🤡
To wit.

I dunno. If they spent so much time trying to acquire the biggest 3rd party publisher in the world, only to fail, think it'll be a bit before they try again with a different publisher. I imagine it would be quite the mental blow to MS and get laughed at for a bit.
