It turns out that the Pokemon/Nintendo isn't the only hardcore fanbase that has very problematic followers: earlier, the community manager of Palworld posted a message condemning the recent meaningless sacrifice of 1900 laid-off Microsoft/Activision employees by the world's 2nd richest corporation:

This was not to last, however, as the post was quickly taken down after angry pro-Microsoft fans began sending threats.

It's merely the logical conclusion of bad actors such as Microsoft Executives Phil Spencer and Aaron Greenberg who are notorious for encouraging "evangelizers" of the Xbox cult, but it is no less shameful and disgusting to see. This is the precise result of Microsoft cultivating a toxic brand, a toxic media messaging pipeline, and a toxic userbase.

American? lol.

Let us please first consider the world's advancements in football/soccer hooliganism.
Of course.
But this "side/team thinking" has been more prevalent outside of actual sports and in the wider societal fabric much more in the US. At least that's what I've observed in my lived experience.

Start locking motherfuckers up. Lock a few of them and the rest of the troglodytes run back top their little mommy basement saves in fear.

Might as well look into xbox management. I'm pretty sure riling the masses up for a hateful campaign isn't quite legal. Might want to start asking Greenberg questions. After all, they all hang out with him on discord.

let's keep the politics to a minimum lol, this isn't a cultural or country problem... it's a problem where a trillion dollar corporation has trained or paid a cadre of online cheerleaders into essentially being an online bully squad, and this isn't the only corporation that does it

Right off the cliff into the pile of bad takes? Yeah, you've got it bro 🤣.

How about you put this energy toward the Hoeg Laws and Destins who are breaking their own backs trying to downplay and defend Microsoft over these firings, eh?
I can't watch Hoeg anymore, he's given up on long form videos and just does paypig streams now, I literally gave up and hit the "don't show this channel anymore" button a few hours ago. Dustin is fine on the IGN podcasts, I don't read his (or anyone else's) tweets. So I'll say the same thing to you that I say to anyone else who complains about a tweeter: Get off Twitter.

But you're here complaining about a tweeter yourself, the CM at Pocketpair. And ironically for the same thing you think we complain about Hoeg & Destin (among others) about: saying something you didn't like.

The fact you've taken the position you do on the issue shows on some level you agree with the backlash over their initial tweet, and we all know why that tweet was met with (undeserved) backlash. It hurt the feelings of Xbox console warriors and defends of a $3 trillion megacorp.

American Sports Culture applies to everything, from entertainment brands to politics.
None of these entities and the thinking heads that make high level decisions care a single fuck about you, stop carrying water for them.

I am only replying about the tweet because it has an article here. I definitely do agree with the backlash to the original tweet, not in a threatening way but in a stfu and give me patch notes way. Thats what the tweet monkey's job is, I do not care about and do not want to hear his opinions on boohoo capitalism.

Yeah, but on the other hand this is not xbot's place to put this person "in his place".

It's called "tribalism" and it exists everywhere, in many facets of life. It's pretty instinctive for people, unfortunately.

Sure, but I wonder how much it 's real, in the case of XBox, because it seems to works opposite to its natural growth: the more XBox become commercially irrilevant the more its fanbase become pervasive and unhinged. You wouldn't expect your neibourhood team to have the Birmingham 's Hooligans, I suppose, but...
