Chinese content creator Dog Feeding Club with knowlodge on game performance is reporting Monster Hunter Wilds is running very poorly on the demo stands at TGS 2024:

PS5 is running at 30 FPS, the demo doesn't have performance mode. The game stutters during intensive FX scenes, the texture quality is underwhelming, some rocks completely miss textures. Frame rate is rather low during combat."
The rest of his comments are game impressions, he only had 30 minutes but he was overall impressed with how the game plays desptie the obvious issues.

Other content creators also reported the game was running at 30 FPS on the Summer Game Fest demo a month ago.

There's also this image floating around saying the game targets 30 FPS Uncapped on PC and PS5 Pro, but since i couldn't find a source i didn't include it in the title (posted at the MH subreddit):

Series S is holding this gen back. Also take the yellow piss filter off.

Capcom is dropping the ball at this point, 2 CPU bound games in a matter of a year?

Capcom isn’t going to market their games in favor of Pro users when majority of fans are on base units.

Dragons Dogma and this. Seems like a Capcom issue

I wonder who has tried this and on PS5 Pro to say this

I mean this game doesn't come out until the end February... Literally 5 months away from release...

Why do so many gamers act like games should be in release shape months and years ahead of time?

This game is likely to run at a low resolution on base consoles and like a potato on the Series S.

This is going to become more and more common place with big AAA games and exactly why the PS5 Pro is going to be the definitive machine of the generation...

2025 would be the perfect time for PS to drop that horizon online monster hunter & release it as a free to play easy to grab, great performance monster hunter like game

I bought a Pro for this title amongst others. Hopefully it's well optimised, a 60 fps mode would be massive and at least minimum a 40fps 120vrr fidelity mode. Have a feeling it's going to be a mess on PC.

In case people missed the Capcom TGS stream, here is the (gameplay) MH segment:

Very clear that REengin is not suitable for large open levels.
They already announced they are working on a new engine. They will definitely solve the issue in future games.

Did nobody learn from the Resident Evil 8 2020 debacle?

Don't trust some random leaks you hear from the internet especially if there unverified.

Even if they come from verified sources, people here treat Dusk Golem as if he is some sort of prophet when it comes to rumors and he made up some stuff about Resident Evil 8 Village running horribly on PS5 at 1080p but ran great on Series X at 4K:

and that the PS5 would be $600 and more expensive than the Series X: https://www.resetera.com/threads/du...but-pretty-sure-it’ll-cost-under-that.285695/

and people believed him even after the price came out for both systems and they were the same.
Then it turned out Resident Evil 8 Village ran fine at launch and was on par with the Series X version.
The only difference was that Series X had longer load times and the PS5 had just slightly more dropped frames when ray tracing was turned on.

Yet people here are already saying Capcom is dropping the ball when some unverified source says it doesn't run at 60fps on pro?
Come on guys, don't freak out so fast.

The FUD campaign against the PS5 was hilarious.

RDNA 1
10 Tflops but only because it's overclocked
Software ray tracing only
limited BC for PS4 games
Overheating issues
You need a screw driver for the stand
Cmos chip issues
50% less powerful GPU than the Series X.

What else?
