For the God of War Spin-off. I feel like that's real, but isn't mainly being worked on by Santa Monica. I think Bluepoint is doing all the heavy lifting for that one, with SSM assisting.

The entire setting of Gow2 with Jungles etc really ruined it for me. Lacked cohesion, I barely remember anything about the game plot, unlike the first one.

Regional was very obviously supposed to be two games, thr endgame felt incredibly rushed.
We didn't see what happened in helheim with the undead army
Thr conclusion to the elf conflict was done off screen
The whole endgame and final boss was very lacklustre
GOW2018 was so much better
I can’t say if one is better than the other tbh. Narratively I sorta checked out in Ragnarok once Atreus and his girlfriend started to shit up the game in every way imaginable but I have very few issues with it outside of that. Odin knocked it out of park and I enjoyed it all and don’t feel robbed or anything of the sort. Did I kinda expect more or a far more epic third act? Sorta but I didn’t have any expectations of anything. Great game
With Ragnarok I have always assumed that any continuation would be with Kratos and Freya, the far superior in-game duo of any in the game. Post game Tyr hangin’ about also seemed like a blatant hint towards future content.
Atreus spin-off sounds like internet hopium. For those who always spew nonsense about replacing title characters and other similar garbage. Terrible idea and thankfully it’s probably definitely not happening.
