I also think Jack Tretton was awesome as head of PS USA....

So who would you say would be the best to lead PlayStation?

My only issue with Jack Trenton was he wasn't aggressive enough but he definitely respected the brand.

I'm very happy with the team they have/had during a couple generations or so, I'd only add Kaz on top because he was so badass and I miss the PSP/Riiidge Raceeer love:

• CEO: Kaz Hirai
• Hermen: First party games & related products
  • Christian Svensson: 2nd party relations & acquisitions
• Nishino: Platform (Hardware, accesories, PSN, PS+, 3rd parties, marketing...)
  • Rosenberg: Partner development & Relations
    • Yoshida, Greg Rice: PlayStation Indies to scout and support small teams
    • Christian Svensson, Shawne Benson: 3rd party relations & portfolio
  • Eric Lempel: Marketing
  • Mark Cerny: Hardware design & tech suppport

I was also very happy with Yoshida as head of 1st party, but he prefers to be with the indies and I'm perfectly fine with it.

Regarding 3rd party, over time publishers gradually moved to a more multiplatform approach, but due to the increase of AAA development & marketing costs, not to who as in charge of 3rd party at Sony.

I'm happy with the co-CEO formula, specially being the guys who already were in charge of most of the things they handle because not having an executive on top of them who isn't an expert in their areas will give them a bit more freedom to take decisions to do the stuff in the way their teams prefer.

Dont blame our fellow shareholders, the push for things like PC ports and Paramount are clearly internal. Expecting more profits can mean a lot of thing but to these Sony beancounters it means only cutting costs and watering down their offerings.

Reallocation of the SIE HQ to Japan

Honestly, I'm still not sure if it was the right call to integrate all of S.C.E. into one entity (S.I.E.), as opposed to old separate, autonomous regions.

All I know is, Andrew House is underrated, and Connie Booth should have NEVER been let go. Now her talents are wasted at EA.. but I guess it's better than Xbox???
Also, I can't believe GIO joined Nintendo. Still feels weird to hear that, but I guess that makes sense, since he is a huge proponent for handheld/portable devices.
