What's Stopping Sony from Adding more Classic Games to Premium?

I think they just don't see it as a good ROI and they are overly focused on immediate financial return.
It all seems to be analyst based, their decision making.
I would prefer some focus on growth and platform vision. That would definitely include leaning into their massive back catalog.

If it's only a simple port and not any tinkering with the existing code it should not be a problem
I've probably asked simillar before, but in general, where's the general thoughts lie on BC/enhanced BC, and within streaming vs downloading context?
Personally I'd want to purchase BC games in the PStore, whatever Sony would have to do to get them there like re-liscense them, or throw the roms in an emulation wrapper. I don't need upscaled graphics, or trophy support or whatever (though it'd be nice considering Xbox's efforts). I'm trying to get rid of the amount of consoles plugged-in under my TV legally without just saying 'feck it' and emulating everything old, and moving to PC-centric gaming, where I'd eventually get the more modern XBSX and PS5 exclusives anyway with the way they're going.
If I have to be forced to subscribe rather than purchase individually, I'd hope the games are downloadable rather than streaming. If it has to be streaming-only it better be fantastic, but so far it has decidedly not been. Streaming games is absolutely bottom of the barrell feature for me, outside of it's background applications to enable Remote Play and SharePlay, which I love but I also wish worked a lot smoother.
All I want is Sony's signiature-style AAA output, paired with MS's approach to BC from one console manufacter. Is that honestly so much to ask? You'd think it was easy money left on the table, just meet/exceed in the area you're lacking and your competition has covered.

Isnt the general perspective that PS gamers largely dont care about older games? Its why Sony cash grabs with remasters/remakes rather than proper BC support. Like werent PS fanboys dunking on Xbox fans for getting excited about BC?
Sucks because Playstation absolutely has one of the best libraries ever in the history of gaming, if not the best.

Nobody was dunking on Xbox fans for BC. They were dunking in them because they were trying to justify the lack of games because BC existed.

Im happy to pay for remasters or ports, just make the games available. I would prefer to officially support them.
Idk. As someone who snagged a Series X first and a a PS5 second, I was super excited to try the Playstation Plus Pass thing and boot up Ape Escape 2, my favorite PS2 platforner, then it was a glitchy ass mess with flickering UI and all sorts of bugs not present in the original
Was so bummed by that. Kinda soured me on their entire service. Im aware not all the games are likely like that but how many are?
Comparatively, it was cooler than all get out to pop in OG Xbox discs like Halo and Blinx into my XSX and have them running and optimized etc
Similar to how i loved playing PS1 games on my PS3 back when. Backwards compatibility has always been huge for me

Sadly it was never fixed, its a ps4 port. But Ape Escape 1 is a great port and i like being ablw to get trophies. I like the progress apearing on my ps5 and the general echo system.
We used to have them during the ps3 days, we had GT 1 and 2 though
