I chose my name because I was mostly enjoying the new show and because I saw a Darth Vader here and thought some kind of fake forum rivalry could be amusing. There’s also a third reason, but I’ll get into that some day.

as television was really really terrible in ireland growing up and one of the only good things was Dallas, which I would watch when I was at home sick from school.

You poor bastard, not even Only Fools and Horses reruns? Heart to Heart was pretty lit though.

I got into Linux and became one of "those people"

This is easy for me. I grew up playing sax and one of the songs that made me want to do so was “Dr. Sax” by Michael Franks. It’s kind of a cheesy 80s song but Michael Breckers playing on the track was quite ridiculous, to this day. Of course he’s one of the giants of modern sax as well.

Got a little older and picked up the bass as well, and I feel like I have more of an affinity for it and play it quite a bit more. So … I’m Dr Bass.
