I agree with @DynamiteCop. It would be giving up way too much control. I don't even think it'll go through FCC tbh.

Nintendo don't do the war anymore, they no longer compete hardware power wise.
Gabe is friendly with Microsoft, and works with them due to their market share and proximity to Valve, but he is by no means a fan of them. Why do you think they made their own operating system? They want to distance themselves...
I don't need to know Gabe, I've been on this platform for almost 20 years. I know how he operates, and what he thinks and believes in.
I'm not so sure about that, MS can buy the company but left everything as is and let Steam run itself like usual.
Steam is not a platform it only a PC Storefront, it does not have a monopoly anyone is free to make a PC Game storefront

I did, MS is expanding and is all in on Gaming.
They want what Valve have. VR Tech, Handheld, more popular PC storefront, & last but not least to make Half Life 3 lol
It will be worth it alone just to buy them so they can get on their ass and make a damn game sequel to my all time favorite game Half Life 2
That's a reason for Microsoft to want to buy them, Valve however has no reason to sell not to mention in the event they ever did the likelihood of it being a company like Microsoft or Sony is basically zero.
Sony buying Valve being at zero, that i agree since Sony does not have the money to afford Valve.
Sony also invested into Epic Games & their Epic Game store.
Microsoft on the other hand has plenty of money still.
MS is/will buy another game company i think it is Valve, Gabe is almost ready to retire for good.
You and me both know that MS is not done buying, they will get a couple more & i think Valve is one of them.

Microsoft couldn't buy valve even if they have the money, not only would valve not sell, but also the FCC. That would be even crazier than Microsoft acquiring Activision.
See my above reply to VFX i already explained why the FCC won't do nothing.
The FCC are a bunch of clowns by the way.
Gabe is not selling. Not sure why people keep bringing Valve up.
I been thinking what would get you to switch to PC?
Maybe i can convince you to join us 'PC Master Race'
