I didn't do anything wrong, he is the one making false claims then refusing to explain where he is coming from, obviously on purpose. You can derail any thread by doing stuff like that.

Makes absurd claim, then replies with "cope", does it on every thread. Gets called out, pretends he doesn't understand.

I can understand this. And I can say that Valve hit that sweet spot with the Steam Deck. It's literally a console PC. They set all the graphics settings for you. You don't have to worry about drivers. It can be on a USB dock for k/b+mouse+tv controls. All the games are stable so far. I'm loving this more than my own PC in the game room and it's significantly less powerful than my PC.

Yeah, I heard the Steam Deck is really good but im also not into portable/handheld gaming. I owned the original GameBoy in the early 90's for a few years and 3DS but it was only for RE Revelations and Super Mario 3D Land. Both of which I made it halfway through and just traded it all in. I just wasn't into it.

I can understand why people love it. Gives you the option of playing Steam games on the go and whatnot.

Yea, but there are other things that I'm weary of:

1) MS laying off staff from Valve
2) Putting a halt to or relabeling Steam Deck
3) Clamping down on how Valve does things and either changing it or getting rid of it altogether.
4) Taking control over any future advances in the Steam Deck hardware.
5) Having 100% full rights to Valve's IPs like Half-Life.

Why are you weary of that? Half-Life been dead in the water for like almost 20 years now.
Valve themself is neglecting their legendary IP.

The funny thing is that MS could buy every publisher in the world and they would still be dead last. That's how bad they are at making games.

If MS buys Steam in a few years people will have moved on to something else.

How is it not true? They are terrible at making games, they could buy Nintendo or Sony and I bet that in 10 years they would somehow have ruined them.

Look at what they've done to their most important IPs, Halo and Gears. They can't even get the most basic things right. 20 years in this business and as I've shown in the other thread people (even hardcore Xbox fans) have a hard time coming up with a top 10 game made by them that doesn't look embarrassing.

Sure, if they fire Phil and hire someone else that knows what he is doing then they would have a shot but I doubt they would pick the right person as well.

They are not terrible.
Some game's they make are bad, just like Sony & Nintendo also make bad games.

Could manage it if I really wanted to switch to PC but here are my main issues -

1. Digital Only. I buy most games on disc because im not a collector and unlike companies, I prefer to pay less and get more instead of paying more while getting less. I'm also not going to wait for sales or this or that. 90% of my games are day one and the very few that aren't is mostly due to not being a priority compared to other games that are simply higher on my list that I want to play or at times, I have maybe 2 or 3 games but only want to choose one and take time to decide which one I want to play. Most of all, im not into having a collection anymore. I only buy games digitally if it's digital only game like the upcoming Sword and Fairy game or if I know there will be post launch expansions and im all in like Dying Light 2, Outriders, etc. Any game for me that is a one and done simply must be gone once completed.

2. PC ports more times than not suck. There's either issues or you need a certain driver or specs or this or that. Not worth my time.

3. Settings. You can customize shadows, textures, frame rate, etc. but nah, not for me. I just want to sit down and play the game. Not spend hours testing this or that.

Most of all. I simply prefer the console setup and experience. Have been this way since NES and will stay this way until im done with gaming.

I disagree with almost everything said by you, because they are not true.

'Digital only' Is the future of gaming, PC gaming is just farther ahead on that.

'PC Ports' Have better options, More graphics mode, Better lighting and Ray-Traced Reflections. Example! Spider-Man PC Port destroy the console version.

'PC Settings' Put you at the forefront giving you almost total control to tweak everything to your liking.
Having more options and control is not a negative.

Maybe you're not good with the Spec's and stuff that goes along with the PC Gaming experience.
It can be learned later, cause when i first starting PC gaming as my two main platform 'the other being Xbox' I did not know enough of everything about PC gaming also but as i used it more and more i learned and now it is my main platform.

So in do time you will get used to everything, and will learn to love it.

I'm not saying every game they ever made was terrible, what I'm saying is that if 20 years and in every generation their output has been putrid when compared to the competition. It is what it is, you can accept it or continue to be in denial, up to you.

MS does have bad games but so does Sony and anyone else.
