Do people actually split subscription costs? That sounds like a huge pain in the ass. I used to share internet with my best friend and neighbor but I rarely ever got paid (and I never really felt the need to hit them up for it as I would've paid the whole thing for myself either way)... this sounds like the true "welfare pass"??
ask Netflix

?

It is pretty easy to split sub even with randoms.
Never had any issue.
If the random don’t pay just remove it from the the sub and replace with another one.

I mean you just had to change the password and your neighbor will come with all smiles to pay you.

Where did you live all this time?

Why do people pay for Office instead of just using Google docs?
I used to use Open Office and then some free Chinese spyware thing. Then it came time to submit resumes and oh shit, it turns out that having access to .docx is actually really desirable and there's no way to tell if conversion programs are fucking up the formating.

I have only ever shared a subscription once.
Never done it since as once they stop or skip out on paying its just a waste.
What if one day like everyone does with most subscriptions like Netflix or Disney+ there is nothing you like you cancel and if you are on a "family" plan if you stop paying, that's leaving the bill payer paying up.
As long as everyone pays then all is good or if you have a family that all have it and you can just combine them but other then that i don't see the point.
We are linking our ps accounts, i want all your diablo gear now.

There are reddit groups where you can share subscriptions. You don't really need to "know" the people. They pay you online.

It's not really safe but people don't care and MS won't check or do anything. They want to inflate the numbers as much as possible.

That's sus af. Would never trust others with my financials... it's one thing if a friend sends me $20 on venmo because i picked up dinner takeout. But like, having a long term commitment like subscriptions...rent...etc, no thanks. I'll avoid all that drama.

5 non family/friends will just share it to pay a fraction of the price. Only a comple fool will pay full price now.

This is starting to look like a pyramid scheme where they are trying to get current Gamepass subscribers to recruit 4 other unfortunate souls.
oh, just like people do with netflix.

Seems stressful micromanaging 3-5 other people paying a monthly bill
it's best to get the yearly version, yes.

I do with the Nintendo online. Granted, we pay it annually so it’s easier to track.
