It really will be this time If Starfield, Redfall, Forza Motorsport & also Minecraft legends which is a Xbox AAA 1st party game BTW if you didn't know

So if all the games from Xbox 1st party i just name released next year it will be massive

we are talking about PS5 vs Xbox Series X/S sales

Release AAA single player games that make me envious of not owning an Xbox.

The only time I've felt the need to buy an Xbox was with 360 after they'd built years of momentum with Halo, Ninja Gaiden, KOTOR, Mass Effect, Bioshock, Oblivion.

The pipeline looks pretty dry. Maybe Starfield or Avowed is a big hit or Hellblade. But the recent records of these devs don't excite me so they are in the wait and see bucket. Otherwise MS seem quite heavy in multiplayer / GAAS which I won't go out of my way for

Then there is the overarching issue of all their games being day and date on PC. I would be better off investing more into PC

Basically quality of development teams need a big change. It's not the hardware that's giving Xbox a bad rap. It's the inability to make development teams that are on par with Sony's 1st party teams. I don't know why this is and don't really believe it has anything to do with the teams making PC versions. Bethsoft, Team Halo, etc.. all need to take a step back and change their paradigms. I feel the same way about other 3rd party franchises that are too lazy to push the envelope and be more creative. Instead they'd rather keep churning out sequel after sequel.

This may change at some point or MS may already realize they can't get any better talent than Sony 1st party teams and figure out a way to just coordinate with the teams on their games and abandon Xbox entirely.

I get the feeling MS may have invested more than they can quality control. At least from a release schedule and insider whispers POV plus the states of some games like Halo Infinite

We will wait and see, I think Bethesda and Activision will ultimately be left very hands off so there may not be that internal cross team drive for competition to push the bar that seems to happen in Sony.

Could work out or could just be the dame issues Bethesda and Activision always have had but now MS will take the heat

I'd argue Phil has done well getting Booty massive investment and things haven't changed much since

Booty is the guy who drove Midway to bankruptcy as CEO so I question his credentials to manage $80 billion plus in first party talent
