Phil needs to go and a whole lot of the Xbox management needs to get lost as well. They need new blood.

People act like Phil isn’t part of the crew that made XB1 launch a complete disaster. He took over in 2014 after Don Mattrick was falsely blamed for everything wrong with XB1’s launch. Truth of the matter is that Phil was also in that room with a bunch of executives when they all decided to take Xbox down the shitty TV, TV route. Don became the scapegoat because he was the face of Xbox at the time. Truth of the matter is that Phil should have been canned along with him.

New leadership should have been brought in to take charge of Xbox. Xbox’s main problem since 2014 has been gross mismanagement. They’ve bought a lot studios since 2014 and even managed to stabilize the bleeding with GamePass but their number one problem still remains. They need new people with fresh ideas and imagination. People that will refocus the Xbox brand to delivering quality AAA games like they used to during the OG Xbox era and the 360 era. Until they fire Phil and overhaul Xbox leadership and their way of conducting business, Xbox will continue to be a joke.

What has Phil delivered since 2020? A shitty Halo Infinite that’s already dead months after launch and a bi-yearly racing series Forza Horizon? They aren’t in the same universe. In 24 months Jim Ryan has delivered more AAA games than Phil has done in the last 8 years, FOH lol.

2. They tried with smartphone OS and failed
3. AWS is bigger than Azure
4. The only reason why Skype died is because they bought and killed them, but they were failing at this too

MS has consistently failed to take market leaders away from their place.
Why would they suddenly succeed after more than 20 years struggling?

I'm very surprised when they got that Tecmo game on XBox Wo Long, that we didn't here any whispers of them making a deal for a new Ninja Gaiden remake? I would totally do a remake/Reboot like FF7R and have multiple characters in the game tied to Dead or Alive. Then you make a dead of alive game after.

I was also very happy and surprised. Was it a sign that xbox is becoming more mainstream, considering Nioh was Playstation console exclusive? I keep hearing rumors of a Ninja Gaiden 4. There was talk DoA7 was cancelled but it might be a load of carp
