Noice Xenoblade, Fire Emblem and Metroid are the 3 best IPs of Nintendo. Hopefully we get remasters of Metroid 2 and 3 too

Please please let the Switch 2 be backwards compatible and this game take advantage of the power increase. This would look so good at a higher resolution!!!

looks okey for PS2 level of power.
you are now assigned to play an early PS2 title of my choosing as you have clearly forgotten what the ps2 was like

(I don't entirely blame you though Xenoblade X could really use a boost in resolution)

This shit being done on PS3 level hardware is just bonkers man. I love XC2 and 3 but I hope monolith really pushes their new their in the next game, 2 and 3 don't feel nearly as ambitious as X

Bro XCX is one of the most technically impressive games ever made what u on about ?
People will make fun of this because if you look at it in terms of polygon count/texture quality/internal resolution it leaves some to be desired (it would get mogged by titles like Horizon: Zero Dawn/Horizon: Forbidden West on this front. Hell its character models aren't as high quality as most anything Sony puts out)
But it makes up for that in its environmental design, and how much stuff is in its environments. Its a game where you can be pretty much anywhere and get some purty screenshots in from how cool the environments look. Plus you can fly around it all in really cool looking mechs and move about it at high speed.
Again a resolution increase would mitigate its issues some, hence why I'm hopeful for the Switch 2 to rectify this. But there are emulator screenshots out there to see what the game looks like in high resolution, and it ain't nothing to sneeze at.
And for a game that was on the Wii U, its easily the best looking Wii U game and now arguably the best looking Switch game

Fuck yeah, I tried to play this last year but my Wii U was such a loud pos that hearing its screeching ruined the fun and I gave up.

so they censored the game?
it looks mediocre for 2015 game but Wii U version actually looks pretty compared to switch, which is 3x more powerful.

God damn the budget on that game must've been about 1000 ramen cups, haha.
That resolution is damn low but also the grass in that image looks like vomit, bad art choice on that front.

Fake Edit: I actually googled and they seemingly released 4 .hack games in quick succession instead of one big one.
That's some release strategy. Did you play them? If so, tell me about the length of each entry.

Also, MGS2 released in November 2001 nearly a year before. Putting them side by side...
PSX1/PS2(and other consoles/PC)and early 3D were truly pioneering years.
The gulf of presentation between studios could be absolutely massive.

What you don't see there is how blurry the game looked on Wii U. And you spend 99 percent of actual gameplay looking at the back of a tiny guy in a robot suit so anime vs western character design doesn’t really matter much compared to the other titles in the series.

Edit: Or do you mean the genderswapped MC? Because you always played a create-a-character and could pick gender, race and such.
